Well this sounds like a better deal than the Argos one if the quidco £10 doesn't track. The sound from the Argos noise cancelling model didn't differ much to my ear..

The argos ones offer noise cancelling and the curyys ones dont

Yes I think these ones are different to the Argos ones.
These are the SHB3060BK's
Argos ones are the SHB8850NC's
and as far as I can see the only difference is the noise cancellation factor. Still seems quite a good deal though!

what is noise cancellation

Sorry what did you say I can't hear you I'm wearing the Noise Cancelling ones I bought from Argos yesterday 8).

Noise Cancelling means there is some technology in the headphones that tries to cancel out external sounds. Some one more techie can probably explain the science.

To be fair the Noise cancelling on the more expensive ones is quite basic so these are a bargain if that is the only difference. The big selling factor is the wireless anyway.

depends on your expectations, I walk the dog along a path next to the motorway and the noise cancelling in the Argos one works well to the 'drone' of the traffic going past.

Has anyone who got the deal at argos tried the mic yet? I was going to get this for pc and ps4 gaming if it was good enough..
#8
If you take your spend over £50 you can get another £10 off via quidco.

dont want to let anybody off purchasing, but philips headphones have really poor build quality (my £150 Fidelio keep tearing at the ear cups).

For a 10 year old who mostly sits on his tab with headphones, is the extra tenner at Argos worth it do you think?

Thanks

probably not but it all depends on where he's going to use them. Noise cancelling is good if your a commuter and sitting on a train, or in the office with AC going etc. They also work well on planes but obviously a 10 year wont be a frequent flyer.

Never mind that. A 10 year old should NOT be smoking!

For the price they're OK, they don't sound anywhere near as good as my AKG K550 but they where £100 and wired only, but I bought them to wear whilst walking the dog listening to books or podcasts and for that they great.

If your son is anything like my 9 year old and just watches youtube on his tablet then they're fine, if he's listening to high res music files then they're not going to do them justice.

Is this one better than the argos headphoness.

I spent £60.98 in Currys and opted in for the £10.00 cashback from quidco but then checked my account to see they messed up my total comes to £50.32 with 45p tracked it should've been £60.98 would I still get my £10.00 from quidco as it's confusing.

Quidco offers and cash back are based on the ex. VAT prices.

Its annoying the quidco can get away with luring people to buy via them and not give the promissed rewards. It happened few times for me recently with quidco. Their claims dept is no use. They used to be more reliable in the past
