Just reserved but can anyone say if these are any good? is the NC crap?

Bought some last time they were on offer. Extremely good for the price. Button locations a bit fiddly but you can work around that. NC in my opinion is more than adequate. Used on long haul flights and done the job well. Obviously can't compare to £300 headphones but for the price you can't go wrong.

can you confirm that the ear cups are black on the outside, like in the picture... as I've read a few reviews and the pics are silver cups which I don't really like?
thanks

I got these when on offer for Black Friday, they sound good and the noise cancelling works well but I found the headphones very tight on my head and they can get uncomfortable when I have my glasses on as the ear cups push very hard to my head. Still pleased with them and will be taking them on a very long plane trip soon where I hope the NC will help.

Bought them few weeks ago. imo they worth it. not bad for the money.

"Please note item 5529445 has previously been on sale at £34.99". No comments about time machines please. Just making people aware.

This thread reminded me of these that I bought a while ago - brilliant NC performance, IMO close to Bose standards;

The 8850 have silver plastic, these are the 8750 and are black. As far as I can tell, they are the same apart from this cosmetic difference (some sources say that the 8850 have 40mm drivers, but IMO it's wrong).

I bought them last month for £35 (and pending the cashback it could be £24) and I'm quite happy with them (even at £40 I'd say they're a bargain). NC works (haven't tried them in a flight yet), it's nowhere near effective like the Bose QC25 or QC35 (their "I'm deaf! oO" effect is amazing) but it is noticeable.

Only odd thing is that the box doesn't have an airline adapter (the 2 plug thingy), unlike some descriptions.

NC is decent for the price. The tight fit is slightly painful and takes getting used to. This value overall.

Says £49.99 on site now...expired?

So I bought these and the Sony on a previous deal from Argos. Sony went back as they weren't loud enough and also on the tube the sound leakage made not great.

Phillips on the other hand much nicer and sound is clear and loud and the NC helps with tube and certain sound is cancelled. But don't expect amazing sound, the good thing about these is if the battery is dead you can just plug them in with the headphone cable jack.
