Don't think so, kinda sours the deal. Best you can do is add a sim-card, which invokes free delivery, although, you probably don't need/want a sim card anyway.

I had this adapter and used it with the orange livebox. Doesnt need to connect to a Phillips router.

Definately a hot deal, just bought one now, moving house in a week and we're not allowed to lay any more cables!

£9.78 at Amazon including delivery (works out cheaper than Tesco if you have to pay for delivery)

How does wireless USB work with any router - surely you need a dongle for your computer and then some for each USB device you own?

usb dongle will plug into usb port on your computer and will talk to your router, only one needed for a computer and none needed for usb devices. the way you are talking you could be a tech guy at pc world.

Sounds more life a USB wireless adapter rather than a wireless USB adapter.

could someone tell me what security encryption this uses ? as my linksys adapter only uses wep :-( :-( (effectivley making my home network security pathetic) and i'm on the look out for a wireless adaper with beefier security, thx

think security settings are through the router, wouldn't matter which adapter you have.

But the adapter has to support the same security standard as the router is set to be using.... so it is important. Anyone know if this adapter supports WPA?!
