got to disagree I have a philips bdp3000 and it's superb, very quite machine with an excellent picture much better than my previous pioneer model. On-line reviews are giving this machine better results than the Sony blu-rays.

The only upside to living in Dundee is you can look out your window and see the Kingdom :p

best blu ray player atm, wait for google tv to be released then that would be the ultimate blu ray player.

It's the Milton Asda and I'd also add I bought this player at £77 for the bedroom a while back and it's not too noisy and handles blu-rays nicely. All in all a good little player and the GUI is pretty nice.

Have to agree with that plus it is very fussy concerning a network connection and I've never been able to get a connection with mine. You can't even set it up manually.

Mine is now sitting in the loft as I now have 2 Sony BDP350s and a Cambridge Audio 650BD.

£50 is the psychological threshold that will see blu-ray take off properly in this country, I'm sure of it.

Great to see us getting there, slowly.

I disagree. The LG-B370 is best in terms of value. I picked mine up for £90 last week. It may not have the gimicky features you only ever use once anyway, but it's a quality machine.
