I think it's just left over stock from the Xmas sale - I tried every Asda in Hull recently for one of these and they all had no stock apart from the Philips BDP3100 for £127!

Great price though!

Wouldn't bother with anything below the 3100 as they are crap and clunky

in fact sweree Philips Blu Ray players overall!

Well mine is fine for the bedroom...£59 for a great picture from a USB port worth throwing away in 12 months at that price

I bought a 2700, it arrived damaged instore, I got a refund instore and then randomly online! Got another unit eventually and its working great but as reported the drive IS loud so if you plan on watching movies quietly in bed, looks elsewhere as you do have to compensate for the drive noise with some additional volume!

This wouldnt be anywhere near as noticeable in a lounge I imagine!

I bought one online before Christmas at this price. Had no problems at all with it. Brilliant for the price

I eventually got the BDP3000 online and I honestly, unless it breaks, can't see what anyones beef is with it for the price.

The 2700 plays mkvs from the USB slot and can be made region free with a few numbers input

Got the 2700 from Asda in Nov for same price, it's slightly noisy at loading, other than that, picture quality is second to none.
