Where's the article that states this boombox has caused a death from someone simply looking at it?
Is the victim up for a Darwin award or what?
surely the relatives are suing them,no?

You had better step back after turning it, after all it has a massive 12 watts of output power

That's potentially quite a lot as sound level is perceived logarithmically, i.e. 24 watts sounds hardly louder at all than 12W. More important is the efficiency of the speakers but of course they never tell you that.

Indeed. All things being equal, you'll find that a higher speaker output usually goes hand in hand with a higher quality and more capable amp. The 10w system I have goes reasonably loud, but when cranked up becomes horrible (quality) to listen to; which makes me want to run in the other direction.

better off buying vintage equiptment from ebay, most 80's and 70's stereos were built to last and still sound better than new stuff, besides bluetooth and usb are hardly retro, vinyl and cassette all the way ;)

Ah I remember my first Brixton Briefcase, as was. I used to use it on the playground where I spent most days, mostly chilling out or maxing and relaxing all cool, sometimes shooting some basketball outside of school. Problem was there were a couple of lads who were up to no good, and they started making trouble in my neighbourhood. Not surprisingly, I got in one little fight and then my mum got scared, and she said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

What's the point of this if you can't tape the charts on sunday.

The 80s was the worst decade in the 20th Century for music.
