I'm not saying this model is bad but check reviews carefully - we bought a moulinex hand blender off Amazon about a year ago with plenty of reviews and an excellent star rating - it's absolutely useless - put it in a bowl and it'll blend the contents around the kitchen (we'd had no such problems with our previous blender (a braun) - when I checked the reviews again it was clear this was an issue but I hadn't spotted it...

But at least from Argos it's no hassle returning the item if it isn't what you want.

I know what you mean but I also checked it out on Amazon and its got good reviews there. There is a slighly cheaper Phillips model, also great reviews, but you don't get the extra's with it, so I went with this one.

We have this - it's excellent. Paid about same price for it.

I have the version below this, got it from comet just before xmas for only £17... and I think it is excellent, blends well, I use it for salsa's, curry pastes, yorkshire pudding mix, works fine....
