The furniture from Cdiscount is total cr4p, trust me - I bought in January and it'sa taken 2 months for them to finally agree that a wardrobe with two left side panels and no right side panels cannot be made. Eventually they did send me a right side panel - for a completely different wardrobe!!! I've had 2 piles in our bedroom since January - a pile of wood and a pile of clothes.

That two months aside, which included two failed collections, where I sat in wasting my life away for nothing, they finally removed this junk from my house. Eager to put things right after this farce, they didn't contact me again, I had to contact them to ask them what might happen now they had my money AND the wardrobe.

They replied that (even though it was collected a week earlier) they would contact the warehouse to see if it was returned(!) and if so issue a credit.

THIS CREDIT CAN TAKE UP TO 30 DAYS!

So, I bought firewood from them in January, they may give me my money back 4 MONTHS LATER IN APRIL!!!

Bitter? You bet.

Cdiscount for furniture? You decide.

I should also mention that when you are short of a right side panel or even a tiny bolt, Cdiscount WON'T deal with you - they insist you contact the manufacturers - who will only communicate with you by POST. No emails, no phone calls, a letter and stamp - remember those???

3 weeks it took me to get a response!!!! It went downhill from there to be honest lol

We apologise to learn you are unhappy with our service, we endeavour to deliver the highest standards of customer service to all of our customers.

We discovered you had been emailing us to an incorrect no reply address'. We immediately had our technical team redirect our mail from that email address to our actual customer service email address.

30 days is the maximum time-frame it may take our warehouse to process a return. In most cases it is not longer than 1 week.

Why does my heart sink when I get an email notification that you have replied...

Here is the "incorrect no reply email address", incorrect in all its glory on your order confirmation.

http://www.calisvilla.co.uk/cdiscount.jpg

[email protected]

No reply emails generally start "noreply@" so we know not to reply to them. I'd say that was a genuine email address that falls out of your system your end, not a no reply incorrect email address?

Stop digging - anyway, that delayed proceedings by 24 hours, what about the 3 weeks it took to get a replacement panel because you refused to take responsibility for the sale your company made to me and palmed me off onto YOUR suppliers? Who don't accept phone calls OR emails? My order was with YOU, YOU should sort it out with your Dickensian suppliers. I wonder why you don't want to...no, I've got it - because they are impossible to communicate with so let your customers try...

I've heard lots of bad things about cdiscount.

You're bordering on breaking data protection act there releasing details about a customer.

They just won't accept responsibility for anything, as you see above it is all MY fault for replying to their email address on the order confirmation, which is not one they use!!!

I wonder if Tesco work the same way with genuine complaints. If I buy some mouldy brussel sprouts, will customer services give me a farm address in rural Norfolk for me to take it up with?

I've said my bit, the furniture is rubbish and random parts are put into boxes by jokers. I won't be replying again unless someone wants specific information, or cdiscount reply with more BS about how they did nothing wrong and I used an email address they publish and ignore.

I already complained to CDiscount after ordering clothes, they took the money from my account 11th March even though I'd had no despatch email - and still haven't. Customers entrust card details in good faith and don't expect CDiscount to help themselves to your cash when they haven't even sent the goods!

The correct email address was merely offered by us from a previous public thread while trying to assist a customer to contact us.

The point I'm making is that you released details about one of your customers on a public forum presubably without their permission.

Personally I wouldn't be happy about a company releasing info about me without my permission, no matter how trivial the info was.

give cdiscount a break... gees

Well at least they're taking the trouble to post over here although they know in advance they're going to get a beating, that shows some good will. At least we're getting heard.
Never had any problem so far but I understand it happens. The issue is how you deal with it... I wish some other companies out there had the balls to come here to read us and apologise too!

We ordered the Full set of Helsinki wardrobe, draws and bedside table from Cdiscount the bedside table and wardrobe arrived in 3 days but the draws never turned up, turns out in the end the carrier lost the item (which i believe as the parcels did state 1 of 3 etc)

Took a couple of weeks to confirm the carrier had lost it (in the mean time we ordered the draws again as didnt want them to go out of stock and be left with non matching furniture) the draws on the new order arrived in 3 days no problems. in the end Cdiscount refunded our money for missing draws in less than a week, and gave us £50 voucher for the hassle,

Overall impressed, quality of furniture is excellant too for the money

whats the VAT back about, does this apply to all purchases or just funiture?
#19
Did anyone order this when it was last on offer?

CDiscount reminds me of how Ebuyer was at the beginning (remember?). Anyway, purchased lots of screens from them. No issues for now

I might buy again from Cdiscount provided they will have a reliable delivery partner. . . . HDNL just makes it worst....

HDNL CAN BE ok. I've had lots of deliveries from The Book People who use them and everything has been delivered on time to the right address.
However, when Amazon used them HDNL failed to deliver, lied to me (claiming to have made 2 delivery attempts and left cards - while I was in), Amazon then compounded the problem by assuring me it was impossible to contact HDNL by phone, only by email. After 4 days of calling Amazon, who emailed HDNL, who kicked my parcel around a warehouse and told lies... Amazon suddenly produced a phone number for HDNL, I phoned HDNL and HDNL arrived at the door with the most battered parcel I've ever seen in my life!

Think I'll get a wardrobe from Ikea...

The website doesn't seem to be working tonight anyway. It won't allow you to complete the checkout. It just keeps taking you back to your basket

think will give it a miss cant be done with the hassle, thanks to all for their valuable input
