Phone contract deal £5.00 per month @ CarphoneWarehouse

murzo54murzo54

My first post hope you like it.

My contract was up for renewal so I contacted CPW by phone and this is the deal I got.

o2 £15 24months. (they discount your bill with £10 so only £5.00 per month)

75 mins and they give you 200 FOC minutes any network.
125 texts and they give you 125 FOC texts
o2 treat 30mins off peak
Discount for being a loyal customer £10
total cost for the month is only £5.00 + 99p itemised billing if you take it, which is ideal for checking balance online.
You keep your same number and no new phone.

This is the way your bill comes up with online billing.

Current Bundle Usage:
Total Remaining
Inclusive (Anytime Calls) 75
Inclusive (Messages) 125
Double text (Messages) 125
30OffPK Treat (Offpeak Treats Minutes) 30
200 Extra FOC (Anytime Extra Mins) 200

    I have a similar deal.
Every year providing i keep my own phone they give me 200 mins and 200 txts per mth
All this and they credit me with £300
So bill is £30 per month so costs £60 PER YR or £5 per month.
I would go back to them and tell them you are a better customer than that!
    Hope this helps

You get 200 mins 200 txts and you wait a year to get your £300 back is that right?

I get 275 mins and 250 txts and only pay £5.00 per month.(£60 per year.)

How do you work that out as a better deal than mine?
    peterdarlison
Indeed yours is better . I misread
    I get £300 @ the beginning

This seems to be a retention deal given as loyalty for existing customers, hence will not apply to all.
How about this deal I got from 3 mobile, last month...
    300 minutes, 100 texts, 25 video calling minutes,£5 worth downloads, brand new Samsung L770 phone, 12 month contract===all for £5 a month(no cashback hassle).
It all depends on how strong you haggle and the mood of the salesperson.

voted cold, didn't even bother to read the deal or other posts, but it seems tradition on hukd to vote mobile phone deals cold and quote that you have a better deal.
Don't know why people bother posting mobile deals, they just get slated every time.

yep so many colds but no reasons i'm out of here.

because its a retention deal... I can't go in there and ask for the same thing. this is specific to you...

would it be hot if I said that I only needed to wait 3mins to catch the train today.. when usually it takes 4?

Could you give more info please on how you got this deal, thanks

Ok mate...let me hasten to add that all retention deals are person and time specific. You may not get this and don't blame me.But its worth a try.
I am with 3 since 2006.I always stick to12 month's contract as I wish my contract to expire along with my handset's warranty.
In 2007 October, I renewed the contract for 12 months, without a handset and they straight way gave £17 loyalty discount from my £22 worth contract(I was on LINK cashback scheme from 2006 to 2007 and had £6.50 per month effective cost )
In 2008 October, I asked for PAC again and they offered the same discount for life and a new phone(apparently, they stopped the scheme of phone-less offers, and I had to accept a phone---good for me).
There is a minimum term of 12 months, but even if you keep mum after that, they wouldn't stop the discount and I will be on £5 for life.!!!!!
Let me see whether I can fetch another handset next year...
Asking the PAC and having a good knowhow of the current deals and schemes will give you definite edge over the salesperson and 3 would die to retain their customers.I still can't get the maths of New Handset/300mins/150txts/25 video/£5 downloads----all for £5 a month.Seems they are paying me for being their customer!!!!!!!
    Happy haggling :-))

You can get 600 mins 1000txts and a free bolt on for £5 per month via 3 cashback claims.

This is NOT a good deal!

Hello buddy...Tom ,Dick and Harry know about even £0 pm deals via cashback.Go to the dealers like beepy,mobiles2yourdoor etc,etc..and have a feast for yourself....
I am talking about £5 direct debit with the 3 parent company...not with a subdealer, taking the risk of losing a cashback.

deal is ok for old customers, i managed to get 3G at £5.00 per month
    750 mins anytime
    150 txt
    50 mms
    50 video mins
£5.00 downloads per month and thay gave me a new phone which bought it up to £15.00 per month, phone was worth £300 so paying £120 for it on 12 month deal works out ok. But i would say 3g service is very poor, and would no recomend to anyone unless they get this type of deal.
