Hard to get unlocked?

It's on Three, so it should already be unlocked. Although it will probably be branded in some way (some pre-installed Three apps...etc).

The headline specs for this handset:
5" TFT 720p Display
Snapdragon 410 Quad Core @ 1.2Ghz
2GB RAM (1GB RAM for the Mediatek variant, not for the UK)
13MP Camera
5MP Front Camera
2000mah Battery
16GB Storage

My experience of using the phone was that it is functional, but nothing exciting. It falls short on performance, which is noticeably worse than the 3rd Gen Moto G (even the 1GB variant). Also, the 13MP camera is absolutely dreadful when compared to the Moto G 3rd, with high levels of noise and/or noise reduction, poor dynamic range and poor white balance. Even the photos I took in good lighting conditions were ugly, dull, and lacking detail.

Have to disagree. Much prefer this over the Moto G

Why do you think people would pay 49p less for a refurb over the new one you posted earlier?
Serious question?
Argos delivery is not free.
It doesn't really make it a deal though does it. Me personally wouldn't bother with this phone if argos wasn't in distance. I wouldn't be forced into buying a refurb for 49p less than a new one just because I can't get to an argos.
Perhaps you forget there are islands that are not classed as (English) Crown dependencies ;)
I have to agree with him really. Shambles of a deal.
Still cheaper than Vodafone delivered, I dont make the math, dont shoot the messenger !
Cheaper, yes. Better, no.
There's being cheaper, and then there's being a deal (and cheaper).
By the way, it's Maths not Math;)
Money for some is a issue, delivery for others, some both. Who am I to discriminate those not near Argoose, on a budget or just poor with budgeting.
Try not fall in the trap next time lol math indeed... X)
Looks like an Argoose chase X)
Such a good price for a smart phone. But word of warning if you're buying one as a spare as I did and you are used to using a decent phone... Typing on the smart first 6 phone is infuriating. There's a slight lag on mine and I'm not sure the touchscreen is accurate/responsive. I tried to persevere but almost ended up throwing it against the wall. I don't think I'll ever use it again. Better to spend a little more if you can.

I would a phone which lasts more than 8 hours before needing a charge, my iPhone's plugged in so much it's become a landline! Can you imagine a new iPhone lasting 3/4 days without a charge, that's what Apple needs to do

Android phones with low to midrange CPU (MTK 6580 or MTK6535) medium resolution display (1280x720) decent size batt (~3000mAH or above) should do.

Just bought a Oukitel U8 Touch, will play almost 8 hours of video on half brightness and loudspeaker off. Blueboo X550 is reputed to do 15 hours screen on time! Gearbest EU were doing it for £70 the other day.

Bear in mind phones like this may weigh 200g or more, so not the lightest...

Indeed... hated mine for that, just gone back to iphone but carrying 3 mobiles became a joke - 1 Android hotspot, 1 Phablet and 1 cheap Nokia.

Now iphone and phablet :)

Hot deal but not nationwide. This is not available in Luton-Dunstable Road store
I've used the power bank for a while now and it charges quickly even through a standard PC USB port, has a nice shake-to-view-charge-remaining feature, and the microUSB cable is of good quality. Seems to charge well enough bearing in mind it's only 2000mAh.
The Samsung microSD benchmarks at 45MB/s so I'm going to put this in a spare laptop to run Linux off, essentially like a SSD but for £7.99!
The generic phone case is of really good quality and while I've not tried the screen protector (the Moto G has Gorilla Glass so doesn't need one) it looks good.
sag
Could well be store specific
It could be, yes.
However, most of the stuff was on the shelves elsewhere around the shop with no reduction tags whatsoever at the same price so this makes me think it's a price drop in other stores, too. I have no way of confirming this other than going to another store, but if someone else could check another store for this that'd be great.
Nothing was reduced to clear, it was all price drops or "normal price" price tags.

The deals on actual mobiles though do look to be store specific - I have a feeling that the Phone Shop in Cobham will be replaced with something else seeing as Sainsbury's Mobile doesn't exist anymore.
Could well be store specific

I must be dense, but how is that cheaper than £144 ?

.. because i don't have the power to see in to the future and anticipate that this would need a mod to post the correct price ..

Thanks for posting - if this is a 12 month contract the price is £144 so i've updated your title :)
terrible deal. you can get an a-grade unlocked 4s, which is essentially brand new anyway, in CEX for £125 quid and, for example, get 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 2gb of data with the people's operator for £6.99 a month, so it's a total cost of £208.88, a saving of £35 quid on this "deal".

or a BT mobile sim with 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb of data for £5 a month, plus the phone comes in at £185 for the 12 months and a saving of £59 quid.

and there's plenty more on top as well ..

Well grannies have been round the block and well over womans issues, defo the ones to ask...so of course you want to be able to call her, cant throw her in the car everytime you want to...it would cause hairdressers, cafe's, bingo halls and bus companies to go bankrupt lol besides it pretty cruel to force anyone to do something against their own will ;)

How much bandwidth do these cameras use?
I got this for the kids (boys 7&9) it was completely free then £10 per month for the data sim connection.

Seems pretty good based on a little playing, be great for the boys as one can be on their scooter etc and the other can watch on the errr watch that comes with then they can swap.
When I was first told about this camera in an ee store. The staff tried hard to sell me one, but gave me a ton of false information. They seemed to know nothing about action cameras.

Hell, I was looking into the lg g4 upgrade and I was teaching them stuff bout their own phone.

The camera sounds nice on paper, but I doubt I'd go for it. Live stream connection can be a hit and miss, specs are just out dated by a few years.

For my requirements I need a high frame rate, 60 fps is my personal minium. I skateboard and a low frame rate doesn't pick up the trick speeds well. A slight motion blur isn't what I'd want. I'd rather go for 120fps, but my current yi camera doesn't record any sound at that frame rate.

It's a shame I missed out on that gopro hero 4 black tesco deal the other night. Only downside with a gopro is the microphone is horrible. ><

Wileyfox Swift is the best sub £130 handset out just now imho. I have bought 4. My wife, son, mother and I all have one. Great phones, every better if you got one when they were £99! Had a Storm...... Sent it back, awful. But the Swift think is great.

Then I'd get the second Moto G for less money! They went down to a single (reasonable sounding according to reviews) speaker on the 3rd gen,
Apologies, hadn't realised 2nd gen had stereo speakers, but can't find it cheaper anywhere, needs to be 4G and usable with a 3 sim. Tesco deal on here links to moto E.
My local tesco were clearing them out at £69.50 the other day but I expect stock has gone now wherever they had them. Can definitely get on eBay under £100 though, maybe Amazon too?

was £399.99 for black Friday. (check price history). Ebay sent me a 10% coupon for electronics and nectar were giving 10x points.
Ordered yesterday afternoon and just received from DPD. It's brand new and manufacturer sealed as expected.

Sweet deal, especially if you do not need to unlock.!
Have you not read any of the comments?!
Yes, all of them. My point being that if you are happy to stay with Vodaphone (or someone using their network) and therefore have no need to unlock, then this mobile is a very good deal.

Sorry misread/misunderstood. :)

It's still a good deal even if you factor in the extra £20 to unlock it.

Agree, I was just answering the previous question from 'over the water' ;)
