Not surprising, Sainsbury's Phone Shop do this all the time. The last 3 orders I placed with them were cancelled afterwards due to no stock.

Anyway to unlock these cheaply? Cannot find it on ebay do these phone go under another name?

Why are these still so expensive? Great phone, but over a year old.

Not that its very relevant for the UK with import taxes, but grey imports from HK are <£300
Mines been dispatched, but just noticed now out of stock,

Torn between this and graded S7 edge
Hardware is better on the S7 Edge bar the DAC. However the amount of bloatware on a Samsung phone means resetting it every 3 months and constantly being harassed. I owned and Edge but sold it. Buy this or the OnePlus 3T or iPhone. Hardware is nothing without software. HTC listened to their customers and this runs near stock android with most apps being google defaults. It even has some extra cool features like AirPlay. Shame it isn't waterproof. I've used many different versions of android and the only ones apart from stock worth it are the OnePlus variety or this phone.

I owned the S6 and I own the S7 Edge and bloatware on both was minimal so would you mind explaining what this bloatware is? Samsung has cut down on it drastically after the S5.
Most pre-installed apps can be uninstalled anyway. I find some of the GApps bloatware but they come preinstalled on Andoid phones and I have to keep them!

Never needed to reset any of them. Maybe it's how you use the phone that makes a difference.
Honor 8 pro looks better
If you want 10+ hours of SoT get a Lenovo P2. 4 months in to mine, excellent.

I've spent the last 2.5 hours looking into this. The phone has generally received good reviews and at a higher price when it was released. I've been wanting to try VR so have gone for it.
Thanks for posting.
I searched and they say good screen , hi-fi good sound stereo speakers with JBL headphone . VR okay . Good value at this price . Should get nougat in future .

I believe the 4S was the 2016 flagship (i.e. "Vodafone Smart Platinum 7").

This is a mid range device at best, but I havent seen it cheaper

does this work with ee only or any other network would stipl be able to use it?
As it is EE branded i am assuming it will be locked to EE, although you could probably get it unlocked
do these come with a sim or is do you need to order it separately?

Any advantage to this over a normal mifi plus a car charger?

Yes these switch on and off with the car so no messing around to get it going before setting off.

Following on from the cycling "BSO" fraternity, we need to start using the phrase "PSO" for "Phone Shaped Object".

;)
Perfect for home automation - load it up with Tasker, build some scenes, pop it against the wall with velcro or build a frame - use it as a lighting controller, music controller or streamer, CCTV monitor or camera - loads of possibilities!
What are sainsburys refurb phones like? Do they come with a box and accessories or is it just the handset (like O2 refresh)?
Terrible phone, used it as a spare but the touch screen was so frustratingly temperamental I gave up on it.
The_Pellstar
its £12.50 delivered, it makes phone calls like any other phone. Just maybe that is all some people want a phone do to
Agreed. It also has a MicroSD card and headphone jack - could be used as a MP3 music player

Does anyone know if this applies to the G5 SE to? (the GPS issue) Thanks

No, it's the H850 Model only.

I've never had this issue and I've had three G5's since launch, so I don't think the issue is universal.

I've just gone for moto z play deal for £250 to replace this phone. loads of problems with GPS problems and I hate the curved screen at the top, I am yet to find a DECENT glass screen protector for it. Also mine is only 6 months old and the screen ghosting is shocking.

whats the GPS issue? my wife always complains that her G5 never seems to get Google maps navigation to work properly.

it's Hardware problem with it losing gps signal, it's well known and documented, the problem is because of 3 little pins not connecting to the antenna properly, loads of videos on YouTube to fix yourself but involves taking the phone to bits

Hi is this 3gb ram or 2gb ram version

Most likely the 2gb ram model think the 3gb ram was only released in china.
Hi is this 3gb ram or 2gb ram version
If this is running Android 6, this is definitely hot. If its running 5.1.1, I'd stay well clear as its never going to get updated.
thanks for all the info peeps. think ill have to purchase one for the wife.
Actually, the only minor downside is the Dual SIM cannot be 3G/4G in both slots (like a Moto G4?). One has to be 2G only. But at least you can have a MicroSD card in the tray at the same time, which a lot of newer phones can't do.

I've used this to unlock my E5330, it worked perfectly, first time. The tool doesn't list this model, but it does give the right unlock code for this device. You can even use the app to unlock the mifi, by entering the code in the settings section of the app.
Sorry I don't know if there's any still available in stores.

F A N T A S T I C ... phone, had mine nearly 3 years and no problems whatsoever, even the battery life is still good, superb screen resolution at 425 ppi and and a great camera producing consistent quality images, video recording at 60fps, A-Glonass sat nav, infra red etc etc, at 40 bars its a gift, it was phone of the year in 2014 !
It's now been removed from the site. Perhaps that means they won't be getting any more in.
For everyone buying this.

Lollipop update for me was crap, battery drain and the gpu went nuts, screen glitchy. I had to revert back to Kitkat which wasn't easy. I would advise to say on kitkat unless there has been newer updates since the one I downloaded.

]Actually they aint bad for price you pay. Compare that to others.
Immediately i never pay this price for it, let alone of any phone com to think it. Never worth paying loads, when something is only going to break, or get damaged in some sort of fashion.
Never broken or damaged a phone in over 23 years. You must just be clumsy.
Yea i guess i am. Then something to do with my disability perhaps. When people wont move i am frustrated as i am tired. Alack of judgement on my part, that i never assumed me sliding it onto the table, meant it would completely clear it. As it had a case, that should have stop it, from friction. I guess it must have hit a polished area is all i can say. Slide across and off the table. Still works, and i am still using it.
But you are one lucky person. Lots of people have accidents. To prove that, just look at th amount of insurance companies that will cover your phone.
Not lucky. I take care of my things especially when phones are expensive. I guess that comes from me only ever being on payg and actually buying my phone outright as opposed to people getting phones "free" on contract and just throwing them around.
I am also on payasyougo. I generally look after the phones i have had. It is the first time i have had a screen shatter on me.As i said i was tire come in to find my parent in way and not moving, doing iron in a 3ft wide gap. As i just been doing weights, i was tired and not in the mood to be messed around. So hence my lyuck of judgment by sliding it onto the table. Only to my fear it slide right across and off.

Avid windows phone fan after having a Lumia 800, 925, 930 but when nokia stopped producing the phone the design and reliability died. The fact that you cant even get ebay app now makes this pretty useless to me. for the price its hot, good camera, good operating system but i just cannot do everything on it that I need. Bought a Xiaomi Redmi 3 pro and its just as good (bar the camera) with all the apps I need for £80 less than this. To me thats a no brainer.
I absolutely love my 930 but the 950 is fugly as are all of the MS era Lumias. Surface phone might rescue it since their team seems to have an eye for design; otherwise I have high hopes for Nokia's first Android since my allegience is with them not MS.
I still came here highly tempted though, I'm very glad it's OOS. :D
Except it's not the real Nokia, just the brand name...
The tablet they released (overseas) was just the name, but as far as I'm aware the phones are real Nokia design team (whoever escaped MS's evil clutches)
I read that it isn't. The brand is licensed and managed by other people.

What would this phone be like for an elderly relative? Looking to get something to replace their aging Nokia that is giving up the ghost, but they need something fairly basic.
These were selling for £69 on eBay last month I don't think you would go wrong at this price.
Have you got a smartphone they have tried, to see how they handle touch screen etc?

it would.
Thanks to you both, and I would have bought it had it not gone out of stock, typical!! :(

Hopefully tomorrow will bring some more bargains.

The moto E3 is slower, 1.0ghz instead of 1.2ghz. The rest of the specs are equal or better but a slower phone is a deal breaker for me personally.

Only the Phone arrived this morning no mention of Soundbar arriving at a later date. I had the confirmation email to say I would receive one. Anyone else had issues??
Yes major issues got a free Bluetooth selfie stick instead as soundbar out of stock not happy
Didn't even get a selfie stick, email saying sorry due to unprecedented sales they ran out of soundbars despite it appearing on my confirmation order! I would suggest to any company running promos that its best not to do so unless they link promo stock with items ordered otherwise it leaves a general bad taste about the company in the minds of those that hear of disappointments and damages their reputation of trustworthiness..
complain I got a 20 gift card mate

Thanks will try tomorrow
