I have had a quick look on the net and the next cheapest was amazon for £6.00. They had a fair few designs in Home bargains, i got the dog one today, i noticed there was also the cat, a bambi and couple of others which i cant remember-great stocking filler/kids birthday i think.

I was wondering that so I googled and came up with: Create a sparkling picture by pinning beads to a polystyrene base.

It could be a sequin picture I suppose.

I think these are what OP means:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/pic-pin/s/qid=1254726125/ref=sr_nr_i_0?ie=UTF8&rs=&keywords=pic%20%26%20pin&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Apic%20%26%20pin%2Ci%3Atoys
I'd never heard of them either but actually think they are a lovely little stocking filler @ £1.49, I would have loved these as a kid! Heat from me!!

I had never heard of them myself, i thought for the price it would be OK on a rainy day-i have opened it, out of curiosity and they look quiet good. its an arts & craft thing i would say its suited to the 6/7+ age group although the box says age 5. The best way to describe it would prob be pin by colour. pins with different coloured heads, you follow the guide/template to create the picture on the box. Not sure i would pay £6 at amazon but i will def buy more @ £1.49. (Polystyrene is included in the box for behind the worksheet). If you have a HB nearby they are worth looking for at that price.
