seriously tesco got 40 varieties of chilli including the worlds hottest?

nah just messing, but a good day out for the chilli enthusiast?
#6
Dorset Naga?!? They take seeds from South Asia, rebrand them and then claim to have "invented" the hottest chilli in the world? Thieves! :x
#7
mumbojumbo
Wooo!! I'm gonna scoff a belly full then pay for 1 :whistling::p

LOL, not recommended like the strawberry farm "If you ate one raw you would be looking at a hospital visit." :w00t:

Voting hot !
#9
can only be hot
#10
Some mupppets expired it......
#11
Brilliant..But how many toilet rolls can you also fit in the wheelbarrow, or is it better to use oil of ulay on a cotton bud and dab? :?
#12
why expired????

can people please report the post to get it unexpired!
#13
Excellent I cannot wait to get amongst this!!!!

I found Daves Insanity Sauce in ASDA (Fareham) the other day, love the stuff!!!

Makes excellent dipping sauce although too much and stomach cramps are inevitable!

H & R just for bringing this too my attention.
#14
Too bad I'm hours and hours away or I'd give this a bash - just love chillis and have them with every meal, including breakfast (chilli cheese, chilli chocolate YUMO)

H&R as this is great for chilli lovers

What a rip off. Its not a deal at all. As said above you can get a packet of chillies for 40p or if your near a local asian food shop you can get a handful of about 30 for about 20p for the lot. There very very cheap.

This is a rip off and who would want a day out in green houses in the summer? you'll sweat and sweat some more and maybe die.

Nice post but not as a deal its more of information to let ppl know its opening. Cold from me.

its a deal because tesco or your local asian shop do not have this much variety and definitly not the hottest chillis! but hey there are always thread spoilers but the overall rating shows what the majority think!
#17
too HOT! :w00t:
#18
Yea,hot from me.
Much cheaper from your local Asian store, but not as much fun,and usually a limited choice-too many food miles for me though,I'll stick with growing my own.
#19
20p for one chili?

That's f***ing outrageous.

WTF would you have a wheelbarrow when a wheelbarrow-full would cost hundreds of pounds? Chili costs about £5/kilo from an Asian shop.
#20
Rip off! Cold
#21
yeah its cheaper to go to your local supermarket /asian foodstore for chillies but i think this is marketed at chilli lovers maybe iuts the experience of picking your own and seeing diffrent varieties ? if it was close i would go for day out
#22
voted hot, as any chili enthusiast would - there are about five or six varieties in the supermarkets, probably less in smaller shops - there are 40 here
#23
Sounds like fun, 20p isn't too bad for some of the larger chillis could be costly if you are just after the little ones! Wheel barrow is perhaps a little OTT..

A wheelbarrow!! I think they are hoping a bit too much lol.

It's only 10 miles from me, I may go have a look some time.

using your theory, then we should all post deals for our local farmers markets cos they sell more variety than tescos.

no idea why anyone would vote this hot - 20p a chilli is a rip-off. buy a pack of seeds for 50p and 2-3 months later, you'll have 100 chillis

heres one of many I planted 2 months ago. Maybe I should add them as a deal :-D

totally gonna give ya the dragon nostril
#32
Errrrr....I think people miss the point!

Of course you can get chillis cheaper elsewhere! But its like comparing chalk and cheese - supermarket/market multipacked bought-in-bulk chillis, and fresh, locally grown, quality with some variety.

Hot from me!
#33
Good post will tell me wife! She is Mexican and addicted to chilli's, like said above some people are missing the point there are chilli's and nice chilli's! The flavours and heat vary so much, most of the supermarket ones are from Africa and picked so early they are just hot and have no flavour at all. As for the other supermarket chilli's they are the same lacking in the flavour department.
Chilli's are not all about heat but flavour as well as my wife will tell you, she is always on the look out for the chilli's she can get back home here at a good price.
Cheers
HOT!!

where is the address for this place please?

Check the labels on pre packed chili in supermarkets.
I'm sure this company may supply a minute amount, but I think you'll find that a bulk of the chilis are airfreighted in from Africa - they are packed into aluminium containers, sit on the tarmac for hours in temperatures of up to +40c,then loaded on to the aircraft where they cook slowly for 8 hours !

They are not fresh at all
