First deal I've posted.. hopefully all is in order.

Not my favourite Bond but I would say this is a great price for these four films.

Apparently with Britvic vouchers through http://www.rewardyourthirst.com/default.aspx you can get 15% off making it about £5. Sorry, I don't know the full details on this. (Thanks to gratisaja and gozomark for the heads up.)

Also potential for cashback from Quidco or similar (thanks for the reminder CalumH93).

Free delivery.

Nah, he was ok. Goldeneye was a classic!. I must admit i didn't care much for the other ones he did.

I've got the Moore and Connery ones of these, but I wouldn't have this one if it was free. Haha

Obviously not for everyone, but hot price nonetheless.

For me the worst Bond.
Responsible for the fall in popularity - he's come back strong with the excellent North-Easterner Daniel Craig as Bond.

To be fair on Brosnan it wasn't his portrayal of Bond that was the problem, more the god awful writing and directing during his tenure. Stick any of the other Bonds in Tomorrow Never Dies or Die Another Day and they would still be some of the worst films ever made.

I thought Brosnan was a good Bond (even though I though he 'looked' Irish) - not his fault things went downhill after Goldeneye. But what would I know - I'm the only person on the planet whos fave Bond is Tim Dalton (and yes, even above Sean Connery).

Goldeneye tho people!! probably the best Bond film ever made :)

Dalton was awesome!

No. Its the best Brosnan. Thats not saying much.
Tim Dalton was silly enough to insist on a "vulnerable" politically correct Bond - not getting the women out of their clothes. In other words, appeasing those who didn't even go to see the Bond films.
Good enough Bond, but weak as water, and not the hard man Bond portrayed by Dan Craig.
No wonder the politically correct wimmin heterophobes don't like him and call him "archaic" ! He's bang on the money, and revived the Bond franchise by going back to basics and putting two fingers up to the "more sensitive" Bond deadbeats (just my bit of a rant there !):p

Got to say that Goldeneye was great Bond movie, the others did suck, loved Dalton totally underated..

I can actually see your point, although whatsisname who now plays Dumbledore took the OIRISH thing WAAAAAAY too far in Goblet of Fire. Michael Gambon overdid the Oirish accent on a bloke who isn't Irish (and Gambon came over here as a kid, remember) and ruined the character.
He's toned down the Oirish accent since, but damage was done.
Brosnan never tried to impart an Irish accent on Bond deliberately as Gambon did with Dumbledore.

Anyone know if this is a steelbook tin?

I believe it is.

Aye. If Dalton had had good scripts, I can easily see him being my favourite Bond.

I don't think much of Brosnan, but he wasn't the worst Bond, ohhh no. That dubious honour gos to George Lazenby

you can get this for £5 with the 15% code seen on other deals, OP you might want to edit

I prefer Pierce Brosnan to Daniel Craig any day...

Officially the worst James Bond ever. And that's saying something because Dalton and Moore were pretty dreadful.
#22
Worth it for Goldeneye alone!

"Give me the codes Natalya!"

Awesome deal. :)

I got this for £5.20 from Zavvi just before Xmas, and it's a really nice set. The set is a large tin (similar to Band of Bros & Bladerunner tins), with a boxset inside containing 4 slimline double disc films. For £5-£6 you just can't go wrong.

Just a pity these tins are so prone to damage and seemingly always have dents in them somewhere (thankfully mine escaped the postal system with only a small zing).

>Re best Bond
TBH, it gets boring hearing the same arguments trotted out about how Brosnan is the worst Bond. In my opinion he was one of the best (2nd behind Moore). Personally speaking, I think Connery was one of the worst Bonds (... and this coming from someone who is Scottish!). Meh!
