ade from metal with a pink finish, the Mika twin shorty bunk bed frame features metal pipe headboard and footboard detail, a metal slatted base and the ladder can be fixed to the left hand side. Requires self-assembly. Top bunks are not recommended for children under 6 years old.

ive got these in my basket but im confused about the measurements, its says on description that they're the shorty bunks but in the detailed features it looks like normal single size? i compared it to the mika shorty bunks in white and these pink beds are much bigger, anyone able to clarify for me?

Through experience I wouldn't let kids over 7/8 sleep on those which narrows there use down considerably to around 5/6 year olds on the top bunk.

I had to modify mine, attached to wall and strengthened the slats, still never really trusted them and replaced very quickly with solid wooden bunks.

If its for a kid who would sleep on the bottom and seldom use the top except for sleepovers etc then its a good buy, if its for 2 kids shring a room I would strongly suggest you shop around and pick up a wooden bunk.

Good job. Excactly what we're looking for after an asbolute fiasco with Argos this week over a dreadful bed they sent us for £240!

Cheers for this.

I have this, the normal full size version.

Took me and my wife about 4 hours to put together. The main problen was a lot of the holes have not been threaded so you have to literally make your own thread as you turn the screws which is not easy.

BTW, I am 12 stone and have occasionally slept on the top bunk without any problems. Just make sure you spread your weight!
