How daft is the idea of pink power tools? It's not that pink is a bad colour, because it isn't, or the that women don't want to do DIY, because they do. No it's that any sensible DIYer woman like any DIYer man will get someone else to do a job if they can and it's more likely that anyone offering to help is going to be male (because DIY is still dominated by men). Now hand a pink drill to a sad macho old fashioned man and it's likely he will be less inclined to offer to help again. Just my tuppence worth :-)

If a man can't put up a shelf properly without it falling down, what chance has a woman got! :o

Depends on the woman I guess, I'm great with a drill. I'm best mates with mine...his name is Derek :w00t:

Ok, this is a good idea that they have shocking coloured tools.

I've done labouring in the past like most of you have no doubt in a 'need to earn money quick phase' and while I was working in the dust, muck etc I thought to myself 'why don't they have bright coloured tools' cus you spend half the time looking for stuff if its on a large site with stuff all over the place that is all the same colour (ie mucky) and you don't want to put stuff away after using them. If you could see them through all that muck it'd save time etc.

The spec of the drill is awful and the price is not that great but if I could find a tool that is always going missing (cordless drill for example) then it'd be a winner with me. But I wouldn't use pink.

I was just thinking that on-site a pink one would be least likely to go "walkies" ;-)
