This is a great deal.....

I wanted to get it..........

But when I went in and tried sitting on the chairs I could tell they were too flimsy.

I don't think you really can expect Chippendale quality for the money ! :-D

Definitely worth checking out in-store first

£757 original price for a table thats only oak veneer as opposed to solid oak and chairs that are plastic not leather ???? Your having a laugh Harveys........probably priced OK at £199, but certainly not worth anything like what they are claiming as to be the RRP.

And now it's £199; that's a saving of £100 off your top price. I reckon this is a steal for a table and six chairs.

think its worth the £200 they're asking, but once you add the £60 delivery charge it becomes the same price as most furniture companies, I know cause I've been looking for a while for exactly this, not a bad deal, just not all that great either onve you take delivery charges into consideration. Now if there was a free delivery code it would be an amazin price. gonna go in & have a look at quality first, see if the manager fancies givin me free delivery!! I've seen quite sturdy decent sets for £300, would rather pay an extra £40 for one of those than a flimsy one from harveys. havin said that when i have been in in the past their furniture looked quality
some really bad reviews of harveys customer service & delivery dates on MSE though

Is it my imagination or do you think that the table is wway to small for six people. You couldn't even push all chairs under so I can only picture iot being really cramped/. And if you look at the picture it has two small plates and a couple of cups and one oridinary plate on there, and it takes up more than half the space...

Another mug falls for the Harvey's perpetual 'Sale' offers.

yes very tiny, more like a 4 seater set with 2 extra chairs, and you can get practically identical 4 seat sets for about £150 on ebay so no real saving

The dimensions in cm are in the post. Reallistically, it's prob more a 4 than a 6 seater

A warning tale of Harveys induced woe...

We purchased a suite of dining room furniture from them that was on offer but certainly wasn't cheap. It was thousands of pounds for the set.

After a few months the veneer peeled away from the base on a cabinet and to a lesser extent the table. After months of complaining they came to inspect it and said it was due to flooding. I know we live in Cheltenham but our house is on a hill - and I also purchased this after the infamous floods. Also, another cabinet right next to one with the problem is perfectly ok – so if it had flooded why didn’t it affect that (and the laminate floor) too?

Ironically it’s also not covered by the insurance they sold us – as that doesn’t included flooding. I feel like a complete numpty for buying that instead of putting accidential damage on my household insurance.

My wife is really upset because it’s the most expensive thing we’ve purchased in a long time and we expected it to last – instead it’s just spoilt the whole room.

I guess the risk is low at the price on this offer, but I'll never buy anything expensive from Harvey’s again.
