Pinnacle Dual Hybrid Pro PCIe TV Tuner is a dual-tuner PCI Express x1 card for digital (DVB-T) and analogue TV (antenna and cable). It allows you to watch, TimeShift and record two DVB-T and/or analogue programmes (TV or radio) at the same time. It also has an input for external video capture I think!

Seems a good price for a card with dual hybrid tuners two analogue or two digital.
This is an OEM version and comes without a remote; you can download the software/drivers.
Its a SuperSpecial and there are currently 7 in stock.
Quidco available also.

Just to note that this card is OEM so you just get the card, i.e. no remote inlcuded !

tempted but it looks as though you will need to input 2 aerial leads. i imagine simply splitting the existing aerial would work (i have a booster in the attic in case signal is weak), or do you reckon it works like the humax 9200 stb (automatically splitting the signals)?

edit: pinnacle spec says it only supports vista 32 bit. will have to check if it will work with 64. bought a twinhan d+a for the old xp system couple of years ago which i've had to box due to twinhan not releasing vista 64 drivers.

If a card has two aerial jacks it typically means that one is for input and the other is to pass the signal back out. It’s worth confirming this though by downloading the User Manual if possible.

They have Beta drivers for Vista 64 so it’s only a matter of time.

Worth noting that this only has 1 x digital and 1 x analogue tuners. I thought that it had 2 x digital tuners so I could record a freeview program and watch one but you can't.

Does this item have 2 digital tuners ? or is it only 1 analogue and 1 digital?

Thanks

1 digital and 1 analogue.

Where did you get that quote from?
There’s a quote on the Aria reviews page that states the opposite:

“This is a great dual tuner for a vista media center box. I was a little concerned that it would need 2 aerial cables to work both tuners simultaneously (as there are 2 plugs) - IT DOESN'T - I only have one lead plugged in and am able to record from 2 completely separates muxes at the same time with no problems.”

I wonder if your quote refers to a different model; Pinnacle make a whole bunch of cards.

Quote comes from page 2 of the reviews on their site.

The above quote could mean 1 analog and 1 digital couldn't it?

No, if you can record from two Muxs simultaneously you have two digital tuners; a tuner can only tune to one Mux at a time. A single tuner can record multiple channels from one Mux simultaneously but that’s a different story.

I have one on order so I’ll report back once it arrives to confirm either way; fingers crossed.

Added: They also have a Hybrid Pro model which has one tuner that can record either analogue or digital. So the Dual Hybrid Pro should record two of either as per the description in the original description.

u received this yet?, lot of interest if it works, ps perhaps the guy who wrote the review didn't actaully know what a "mux " is

I cancelled my Aria order as I managed to pick one up on eBay for under £19 delivered with the Remote included.

The tuners are as I suggested although it requires dual aerial feeds for both tuners to work which is stupid. Someone posted on a thread for another deal for the same card that it only requires a single aerial feed but who knows if they actually have a card or are just quoting something that they read online. Or there may be different revisions of the card.

Note: I just got an email from Pinnacle tech support which states, ‘Yes, if you want to use both tuners you will need to use 2 antennas ‘.

yeah but the big question is,,, can it use both tuners as digital? ie record one dvb-t channel and watch another dvb-tchannel?
for my part i would like to know if this is possible with the bda drivers as i would like to use software other than the pinnacle
