Fantastic price for the best blu-ray burner on the planet. The quality of burns from this writer are top notch. Maybe a price drop for the impending (Nov/Dec) BDR-206, but there are no differences worth noting over the 206 and the 205, the 206 will have a different power supply and weight. The read speeds, write speeds and chipset is the same. Don't forget the huge 0.5% Quidco. It's also available at amazon but there is up to a 2 month waiting list for it.

The increase in Hard drive sizes and drop in price together with media players has made burning media rather last year. They missed a trick by not getting these out at the right price a year or 2 ago.

Fair price if your after one of these though.

I agree, although to be fair, its not practical to post an external hard drive for example, if you want to sent a video of the kids Christmas play to old granny, nor to buy large capacity memory cards if they get lost in the post. Forget FTP'ing or internet storage spaces on a 50 minute HD video - far cheaper/ simpler to post a disk in this sort of case.

Does still have its uses I'd say. I'd welcome the drop in price for both the drives and media though. :)

LOL! I'm impressed your little old grannie has blu-ray :p

Could someone explain to me how this gets so cold, which is the cheapest price ever for this burner and much cheaper than anywhere else and available to all. Yet, a stupid 4GB datakey, available at a Tesco in some obscure location only available to 2 or 3 people with a couple of quid off gets to 1000oC ?
