when you can pick up a blueray player for 49 quid I think its a bit pointless buying a dvd system for this kind of money. speakers need to be on a separate amp, otherwise (like me unfortunately) when you want to upgrade to blueray it becomes useless ;-)

To quote a review "As i say at the top of the review there is only 1 serious minus point and that is there is no 5.1 surround sound from a sky box (if connected) "

it looks kind of small :-D

I got one of these for free with my tv a couple of years ago. The sound is excellent, but as has been mentioned, the lack of the optical input makes it a poor choice for the price. Although you do get good sound from a sky box using the stereo setup it is not 5.1 surround. The upscaling of video is excellent and for the most part you are hard pressed to see much difference, but I would not buy one. Not for £200.

Without an Optical In these aren't really future proof at all.

The DCS-580s that I have have a better AV Receiver so you can get 5.1 from one Optical source.

I couldn't recommend anyone get these, I slightly regret only having one optical input as it has hindered me a little but having none at all really isn't a smart decision.
