hate to disagree but the Martell Brut Prestige is nasty champers (in my opinion). Everyone to thier own though!

I prefer Piper to Lanson, it's milder and frutier and aslo the champagne of the oscars, bargain at this price.

Lanson to me has a harsh, nasty bite to it, all a matter of taste really but my other half is french so I have drunk many bottles of champagne in my time, not that I am Jilly Goulden or anything. :)

Piper is my favorite champagne great price im gonna pick up a few bottles :)

Piper Heidsick was also the Champagne of choice on the Titanic!!!
#8
Lanson needs a couple of years in the cellar before it tastes good. Down to the way it's made.

Agreed, I nearly bought a couple of bottles a week or 2 ago at full price. Glad I waited now.

Personally I like both, Lanson goes better with a chicken dish where as Piper goes better with fish. If drank alone though I would go for Lanson as I prefer a dry, spicey drink father than a sweet, fruity one.
As has been said before, it's all down to personal taste.

Brilliant price and will be getting both (though a larger quantity of Lanson)

Voted Cold.

Champers is a marketing mans dream, all froth an bubbles (the image that is)

Wooliesmmanaged to sell a bottle that got excellent reviews for a fiver, but somehow we add a brand and a nice label, and somehow 11 and a half quid somehow seems a bargain.

I drink Piper when it's free (or when work are paying for it in the price of the ticket) in BA business class, and it tastes perfectly nice. But, when I'm paying for it I drink Tesco Cava Reserva (down to 4 quid at the moment), and I think it tastes nicer - an leaves 7 and a half extra notes in my pocket.

Well done N20Y1D for finding a GREAT deal, take no notice of the killjoys who vote cold because their tastebuds are different to others. VOTED HOT

Ordered 2 bottles of Piper online yesterday for delivery today but was called to say its not in stock, so I went online and you can still add it to your basket. My 1st time I use ASDA home shopping and certainly will be the last ;o)

It gets better - my timeslot was 7 - 9pm and it turns up at 9.30pm. There are a couple of items that are not in stock so I have lost out on the offers - Very **** service overall so i shall not be online shopping with asda again.

Hope some of you managed to get teh Champagne
