Better than half price.

Instore and online.

Valid from 28/07/14.

Varities included:
Margherita Pizza 460g
American Pizza 490g

These are the big ones, not the smaller sizes and they're selling in the other supermarkets for £6 still.

The Pollo Pesto Pizza 285g is still on offer at £2.25 until 04/08/14 as well, but that's the smaller size.

I picked up the large Margherita on Friday for £2.85 so this is already active in some stores (Swansea Fforestfach)

Nothing personal about this deal but I hate the fake 'normal price so that it can be 'half price' on a regular basis :(

Sorry if this offer is already active - Tesco sometimes advertise deals on their groceries website as "starts tomorrow" if they're extending a current offer, but I didn't remember seeing these before.
That explains why the price was already listed at the reduced price on Mysupermarket. :)

I understand what you're saying, and every supermarket seems to do this.
Just letting people know where it's on offer now, and when it ends at Tesco it will probably be "half price" in Asda or Morrisons. :)

Agree normal price is too high but this is a good deal.

An overpriced oven pizza reduced to a price that's still too high for an oven pizza.

Not available in my Tesco :(

The pizza is over sour!

Sour is not something I've ever noticed with any Pizza so how sour is a Pizza supposed to be? I would have thought not sour at all rather than over sour surely?

Have these pizzas ever been full-price?

They've been this price for over a week (I work on the fresh department) so must be an extension

I agree actually, £2.85 is still £2.85 for a shop bought pizza.
However opinions aside this is still a great deal based on normal pricing. Have some heat.

Thank you, that explains a lot of the above comments! Grateful for the info. :)

8" ones are £2.25 @ Morrisons, that's the best I can find.

£6 normally? you can get them for cheaper than that in the restaurant quote often!

Good deal, also quite healthy as shop bought pizza goes without compromising on taste!

Had one of the American ones yesterday and the quality has really gone downhill. The pepperoni is not as good as it used to be.

I couldn't have put it better. Who pays £6 for a pizza. It this kind of BS that lead me to leave Tesco and shop elsewhere. £6 my Ar*e!

Good price but does anyone prefer these to Dr Oeklers?

Can't remember the last time I paid full price on one of these pizzas, on offer every week at one place or other

For those complaining about the previous price of £6, no the pizza is not worth that price. I wouldn't pay that, but that's how much it is in the other supermarkets - I already gave the link for the price comparison.

Again, all the supermarkets have the same trick of putting the price of things up to ridiculous levels for a few weeks then dropping them to make the offer look better than it really is - it's not just a Tesco trick.

Using this device in the last few months Tesco have put the same kids carex handwash on offer at 85p, then 90p the next time, and now it's £1. They have increased the price but said it's a special offer in the hope no one notices!

All I'm trying to do is let people know where things are cheapest at the moment. :)
carex - marketing mens wet dream - mostly water with a few chemicals adding. Even their head of marketing said it was just a gimmick to call that stuff anti-bacterial and that budget hand soap does a better job at around a tenth of the cost and lasts five times as long :)

Can't imagine paying £6 for an oven pizza it is crazy. My local takeaway does amazing pizzas and I can get 2 delivered for this sort of price....

Too sharp as pizza - the base sauce is too sharp in taste. I would rather enjoy a bruschetta from Pizza express! Much nicer
