Why so negative?

Great offer! Pizza Express are the best oven pizza's you can buy. VOTED HOT!!!!
#3
Horrid pizza!
#4
good find, heat added..... also Asda have Goodfellas Solo pizza - Various for £1, 50p each.... very nice!!! these are normally well over £2.00
#5
Not nice, I much prefer the tesco own brand.
#6
This is cheap! In Morrisons their "offer" on these is half price and that still only takes them down to £2.50!!
#7
All this nation eats is pizza.
#8
Good offer but I got one of Morrison's fresh ones this week which was twice the size for £3.19 and it was much nicer than the last boxed pizza express one we had. (No I'm not an enormous pig it was for my whole family!!!)
#9
Pizza Express were one of the few companies who tried to pay their staff less than the minimum wage claiming their tips made it up.

The pizzas taste nice - but this leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.

I had a sloppy G yesterday from tesco. Excellent pizza - but really only sized for ONE! (I am trim!). Good value for £1.92 but wouldnt buy one at full price.
#11
I had a couple of these a while ago as I thought they must be good as they are always so pricey (they were on a half decent offer at sainsburys). They are alright, but nothing spectacular, certainly not worth their premium price.
#12
voted hot, good pizza. Thanks.
#13
best oven pizzas ever... make sure you drizzle a good glug of olive oil before putting in the oven, makes the world of difference.. also gently crack an egg or 2 when you have 8-9 mins left...beautiful..
#14
Very nice with a cold beer - and you save on Pizza Express's extortionate drink prices by eating it at home:thumbsup:!!
#15
i also have tried these, they are okay but the toppings are a bit sparse, average pizza worth 1.92 but not worth the full price. I prefer to make my own with a base mix from morrisons for 79p and then make my own sauce with tinned tomatoes and herbs and reduce it and then add my own toppings, much cheaper and a hell of alot tastier!!
#16
Sloppy Guiseppe- my fav, voted hot, great price prob wouldnt buy at full price!
#17
Just to let you know Pizza Express is a brand name - the product you see in the supermarkets is made by a company in harrow (i think it is harrow). they are part of the Geest group. They also make Tescos own brand pizzas, Sainsburys and probably most of the other supermarkets. Morrisons pizzas are far superior cause they are made fresh on the day.

Exactly the same here. They taste like every other pizza like this.
#19
Just to be clear... this is the small 7" individual pizza. The Morrisons PE 12" for £2.42 was, imho, a better deal.

You must have pretty mashed up taste buds then - Pizza Express Pizzas are widely regarded as the best pizza money can buy BAR NONE !!
#21
Worst. Pizza. Ever. This is the type of product that just has a high price tag and a brand slapped onto it to fool zombies into buying it.

Seriously, this is not worth the price, they are VERY VERY VERY poorly made, tastes like an extremely cheap budget pizza, absolutely awful. Hardly any cheese on it, or tomato sauce, poor base. You can buy a pizza for £1 that is better than this just about anywhere.

Food in an actual Pizza Express is pretty nice though.

Have you ever eaten this Pizza. If you have and you still think this is the "best pizza money can buy", then I suggest you visit a doctor to fix your taste buds.

Maybe i should re-phrase - it is the best 'off the shelf' Pizza money can buy....

and yes, i buy one 12" Pizza Express Pizza every week from Sainsburys, they are a MILLION times better than ANY other frozen or fresh pizza in ANY supermarket - it is the ONLY pizza that has a genuine fresh look and taste about it - Tescos own, Asdas own, Morrisons own are are laughable compared to Pizza Express.

I was sceptical first time i tried them because of the price tag, but if you know what you are talking about with pizzas then you will enjoy these - if you are just someone who wants to stuff their face regardless of the quality then these are probably too expensive

Those are the bigger ones. The smaller ones are about this price at morrisons and I believe that is the same size for the price quoted at tesco.

too true

These are not even close to being the best "off the shelf" pizzas money can buy.
#29
Honestly, these are poor, overpriced pizzas. They are by far the most expensive, and yet the quality is not very high, the toppings are sparse and poorly placed, and the worst part is the base. It's almost like an old fashioned cheap Chicago Town style base.

Being a fresh/refrigerated pizza and the fact that you cannot see the actual pizza frustrates me even more!

If you want to try them and already haven't, by all means use this offer as an opportunity to try it. But I would highly recommend Tesco's own refrigerated pizza, MUCH higher quality and you can actually see what you're buying!

Asda offer the best fresh pizzas of all the supermarkets and you can choose exactly what toppings you want.

Very true! I was just about to mention that actually. I honestly prefer going to Asda to buy a pizza with my choice of toppings from the counter and cook it, rather than getting it from the local take-away. Plus, great price for what you get/quality/service.

not the best money can buy but a good feed for £1.92and i like it ,who here can say any of the off the shelf pizza is great.

Yes! And they make them the way you want too - I like extra-sauce! Those pizza express ones wouldn't be too bad if they put more than a suggestion of sauce on.

I reckon if supermarkets sold the bases and the sauce seperately, and then you went and bought your own toppings(quality ham, good mozerella, porcini mushrooms) they would make a fortune.

I wrote to ASDA and suggested this and they invited me in as a paid consultant to trial it and basically get the concept off the ground.....O hang on wait a minute, no they didn't, I've just remembered....they completely ignored me - the *******s!!

Still think it's a good idea though and would definitely help me achieve my target weight of 25st! :)

Love pizza express pizzas in their restaurant, hate their pizzas you buy in stores.
