Now I know this might not be a great price for a single pizza, but for 2 its not that bad. These are absolutely insane pizza's. Incredibly tasty.

At this price they are fairly good value for money, but if you see any which are reduced, then get them if you can as waitrose's reduction system will still take off the full price of one of the pizzas when going through the till. So if you get two pizza's which are reduced to say £2.59 each. You will only be paying £1.19 for both of them, as the till will take off £3.99 as they are buy one get one free.

This is why I think its worthy of a mention.

Starting on the 4th of november and ending on the first of december.

Forgot to mention, it includes Sloppy Guiseppe, Margherita, Pollo Pesto and Sienese. 249g-305g

Great Pizza, different class from most supermarket rubbish
#2
Ta for the heads-up. I usually stock-up when the different supermarkets cycle through this deal, but occasionally miss it which really grates - a useful post, thanks.
#3
Really will have to try this pizza one day.

Good deal if you can manage to go straight in and back out the shop. But pick up anything else and you risk blowing the discount since the rest of Waitrose's prices are so high!
#4
Waitrose are not that pricey nowadays, okay maybe on certain things but I find they have some really good bargains especially on the bogofs

Good deal
#5
They are getting pretty competitive with some of their prices, it must be said. But some things are still bloody expensive. But when it comes to most alcohol, and the essential household items they are pretty good.
#6
I'm voting this one cold. We don't have Waitrose up here in Scotland.
#7
If you don't think it's a good deal then you should vote it cold.
#8
What size are these ?

The large 12" ones in morrisons are £2.49 each at the moment.
banned#9
I assume these are 8", not the 12" ones.
#10
DOH, so this doesnt start till Weds? Was gonna go in today for a shop! Still HOT as 1.99 for a PE pizza is as good as it gets in other places during offers and I always buy at least 2!
#11
How do these compare to the Dr Oetker ones?

& is he a real Dr. ? :)

Original price suggests proper size ones

Indeed he was
The Dr. Oetker business was named after Dr. August Oetker. Originally a pharmacist Dr. August Oetker created Germany’s first baking powder, known as Backin.

make it a little more authentic
10 minutes before removing pizza from oven add a dash of quality olive oil (i use my home made chilli olive oli)
its a little indulgent so go for a jog first LOL

Matter of opinion, I think they are overprice rubbish (Restaurant wise anyway)
#17
These pizzas look nice, just want sainsburys or tescos to put them on offer so I can try them as I'm not paying £4 for a tiny pizza, no waitrose in N.Ireland btw.

There are at least 2 Waitrose stores here in Edinburgh!

Well, apart from the idiotic idea of voting a deal cold just because you, personally, can't take advantage of it, if you bothered to look you would find that there are 2 Waitrose stores in Edinburgh which, last time I checked, was in Scotland

There's always one!

So going by your analogy, if waitrose were selling off 42" LCD TVs for £5 you'd vote it cold because you don't live near a waitrose??

This deal is not for the restaurant and to be honest, the ones from the supermarkets are nothing like the ones they serve in the restaurant.

You aren't comparing like for like.

These are set out to compete with supermarkets high end range and attempt to bring a bit of gourmet to the pizza ranges which all seems so generic in supermarkets.

I think he's looking for attention more than anything else. Probably doesn't get enough of it at home!
#24
These are half price at morrisions (£1.99). I bought one a couple of days ago.
Well nice
#25
Morrisons are doing the large ones at £2.49 so are much better value.

Jeez, Good to know people have a sense of humour round here.

Ok lets all be deadly serious about a pizza. This is a scorching hot deal, the hottest ever in fact and having just checked my world atlas i can confirm that Edinburgh is definately a part of Scotland.

The same as London isn't part of England yeah?
#29
Really needs Waitrose in the title, and prominence in the description also!

So is this 2 for £3.99 then? Description seems a bit muddled to me and the price says £3.99.
#30
Agreed! Changed it.
#31
Much clearer

Good deal, would pick up 2 if I lived anywhere near one :whistling:

Looks pretty clear to me...the £3.99 pizza express pizzas are buy one get one free....can't see where any confusion is.

The penny just hasn't dropped with you has it mate? A blind man sitting in the mountains of Tibet could clearly see my posts were a pss take. Its a shame you can not. My comments were so absurd that i thought surely no-one could be so devoid of any humour as to possibly misinterpret them. Apparantly i was very wrong.

I'm pretty sure that first line wasn't there until I suggested the edit (unless I was being stupid - entirely possible). Before all I could see was:

"So if you get two pizza's which are reduced to say £2.59 each. You will only be paying £1.19 for both of them, as the till will take off £3.99 as they are buy one get one free."

Which didn't make much sense to me...
#35
The price is set to £3.99, as thats what they cost. It also says, and said, it was BOGOF in numerous places. Which to me means that they are £3.99 and BOGOF. Like you'd think ;)

That part is referring to an additional bargain to be had if you can get any that are reduced.

First line was added to make things clearer.

Great pizzas and my fav are on offer the Pollo Pesto,. Tesco and Sains never have these on offer (not sure they even sell them anymore). Do Morrisons or anywhere else have the Pollo pesto on offer or even sell them??

I am not all that keen on the PE oven pizzas (whilst the restaurant ones are great). And IMHO, the German doctor makes much nicer oven pizza (2 for £3 at ASDA last week, not sure if still on). :)
