I can't speak for the quality of these Pizza's, however even at £1.79 an 8" pizza is overpriced IMHO.

Pizza Express Pizzas are gorgeous! You do pay for what you get. Remember that size isn't everyhing ;-)

jesus wept, even "normal" pizzas (goodfellas, chicago town, etc.) are around £1.99 each, so i can only assume you're talking about store-brand cheapo stuff! there's no comparison.. pizza express pizzas are lovely, and easily worth £1.79.. maybe not full RRP, but defo £1.79 imo..

mmmmmmm sloppy giuseppe :)

These are by far the best pizzas in the supermarkets.

I'm off to stock up, yum yum :)

Tiny but tasty, they both please and annoy me in equal doses.

Other irritations:
Some types have vastly more toppings (and cheese) than others.
Pollo Ad Astra never seems to be on offer - Grr.

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm, sloppy giuseppe with goats cheese cooked fresh in their restaurant. Delicious.

These pizzas are the only boxed/pre-made pizzas I like, oh i forgot, Marks & Spencers stonebaked range is nice aswell. All the others taste like cardboard with a cheap tomato sauce on top!

Will be stocking up tonight.

Cheers 1303, heat added.

Does anybody know if these can be frozen without doing too much damage? I know the supermarket ones have a short shelf life as they are very fresh.

I'm a real pizza snob ever since discovering these.
If their Dough Balls are going cheap as well then I'll be very happy :)

They can be frozen but i dont know what u mean about not too much damage??

I only like the american hot one's but they never seem to be one offer anymore :x

Thanks for this - might just have to go back to Sainsburys again tomorrow !

Sloppy Guiseppe are so tasty.
#14
Good deal but the £1.50 frozen pizzas from Iceland are much better IMO
#15
Hot!

Just a shame that il Padrino is only served in the restaurant :(

Better value for a cheap filling dinner, being £0.29 cheaper and a bit bigger (Sloppy Guiseppe (Spicy Beef & Peppers) 8" 362g vs 400g+ on icelands), they cook straight from frozen, and do seem to come in quite a range of toppings http://www.iceland.co.uk/category/view/4/Frozen+food_Pizza

but better? really? The pizza express ones are gorgeous! Anyone else want to suggest I try iceland if I'm a fan of these pizza express ones?

I like spending a "£2.50" tesco clubcard voucher on £10 of pizza express restaurant food, yum yum, but these at £1.79 are pretty good too, think I'll pick up a couple.

I tried one a while back and wasnt very impressed at all , dont know what the fuss is about :)

Voted hot BTW as its a good price even tho i dont like them

I agree, so annoying though the store I work in only stocks Margarita and American Hot. Was at a larger store over the weekend to take advantage of the 20% staff discount weekend but they were £3.99 then and I wasn't paying that even at 20% off.

Doubt I will get a chance to get to a larger Sainsburys before the offer ends, otherwise I would stock up and freeze them.

aahhaa

but better? really?

Yes I agree te £1.50 ones from iceland are a mile better. The american style meat feast is the best around

Hot from me - love these, especially the hot ones!

Great value at £1.79!

H & R added.

Also just seen this is available in the Sainsbury's Locals and Centrals where they are down from £4.29 to £1.79 - saving £2.50 as they are on slightly higher pricing in the smaller stores.

Did people really pay £3.99 for an 8inch store pizza?

Well never see them reduced in my local store so I guess yes they did but the Sainsbury's/Tesco own brand ones are usually £3.29 so that much more expensive.

I went today evening all cleared out, best off in the mornings.
