Free salad has been a long time coming. Thanks for the heads-up.

Not sure tis the health benefit they claim. The coleslaw, potato salad, dressings, bacon bits, croutons probably makes it worse for you than a pizza

Thanks for the heads up. Remember, a large pizza counts as two adult meals - so get the cheapest large pizza (about £11?) and two kids can eat free. A family of four can eat for about £16, including drinks.

It's up to yourself to avoid all the dressings and things. There are plenty of fresh raw salad veg to make this a healthy option. The bacon bits are actually soya so ok for veggies like me and apart from the salt content not too bad. Reckon we'll have a wee trip to Pizza Hut op :)

ooh. i didnt know know the bacon bits were soya...hmm.. could do wi'a pizza, yum

great deal, thanks for the info, i love their feta cheese greek salad. mmmm nom nom

Great deal

The cheapest large pizza is indeed £11 (plain cheese and tomato) but many fully topped ones are only £2 or £3 more.

Pizza Huts must have dropped the whole "Pasta Hut" rebrand and are now dishing out the salad free to make it healthier. Wise indeed.

Free unlimited salad with any large pizza is for upto FOUR people !

wish it was pizza express
I'm not a big fan of pizza hut

I was in Inverness for their buffet lunch, me & 2 kids unlimited food & ice creams for the kids £10.

Top quality & great service too.

Great to hear they've improved. used to like Pizza Hut as a cheapy alternative to Harvesters but the last time we went they'd stripped the menu and the offers right back - this may have restored my love for them - thanks OP.
#15
Are the improvements only for their restaurants? When ordering online it's still the same menu, with the same old pizza sizes. I really love the sound of a new sauce, new dough and more generous toppings.
#16
yep, restaurant only

Do you have a link to anywhere were it OFFICIALLY states that buying a large pizza will entitle you to TWO free child meals? Or is it just your personal opinion that it should?

I understand a large pizza feeds at least two adults and when we go me and my gf normally get one between us but because we're only buying one pizza as such then they only normally allow us one free child meal with it.

We've always had two free child meals with a large pizza. Can't find anywhere that says that's correct though.

I can confirm that a large pizza will allow you to have 2 free kids meals as we have done this on several occasions.

It doesn't say on the web site, but we have always checked with the waitress first and it has always been allowed so far (about 10 plus times, in various locations). They are not going to advertise the fact because it makes people spend a lot less than they might otherwise. Thankyou for asking so politely...

Free salad for the salad dodgers that visit Pizza Hut - quality.

Horrendous place, terrible pizza.

'tasted the changes' - that made me laugh, cheers.

I'd wager the changes wouldn't sort out the issues with their pizza in that it's frequently dripping with that spray fat that comes out of an aerosol can they put on the pizza tins, and the fact the tomato base is sweet and repugnant.

Let's face it, no pizza from a chain is going to be healthy. I think PH pizzas are pretty nice though, and I prefer them to Pizza Express. We eat there when we are having cheapo Travel Lodge weekends away. I don't think the salad bar is as good as it used to be - they have cheaper items now, and the potato salad is a pile of mush instead of individual potatoes.

I doubt the type of people that eat at pizza hut are particularly concerned with their health anyway. ;)

went in the other day and was told about this. dont forget they will be taking away quite a few things from the salad bowl due to this e.g. the red pasta. the mayo pasta will stay however

Went to my local one tonight, have to say it was fantastic value - almost embarrassingly cheap for what we got when the kids meals are taken into account. Salad selection seemed pretty decent despite absence of pasta. Waitress happy for us to keep salad bowls throughout meal. If you've got a birthday boy/girl, they did a lovely cake (around 11" across by 4" high) with candles, mini eggs and a box to take any remainder home, this only cost £7 and it's worth checking that your local does this too. Would advise booking as tonight ours was much busier than previously. Heat added.
