Hope not already posted - checked and didn't see any. Not sure on size but seems in line with others as 15" dia.

Next cheapest is Amazon @£11.04 (at the moment)

These are great, but there is a bit of a trick to using them so that you dont end up scraping the dough off the stone with a chisel. You have to get the stone really hot before putting the base on.

so how does it work is this just for serving or do you cook the pizza on it?

Put it in the oven to full gas while you're preparing the pizza base and toppings (5-7 mins should be enough). Once it's hot, put the pizza on it, and reduce to the normal gas mark for the usual pizza cooking. The stone base will accumulate heat and distribute it evenly so the pizza gets really well cooked. You can tell the difference if you use it.
You can use it for serving it as well, and the pizza will keep hot for longer, but mind the stone is VERY hot when coming out of the oven.
I do not have this one model in particular, but I've been using a pizza stone for the last 3 years and I couldn't live without it. Mine cost £20, and cheap prices are around £12. So £7.99 is a steal.

Cheers for that wakaru (_;). I've been after one for a while for cooking pizza better and serving. After looking on megashopbot.co.uk to compare prices I thought I'd post as it does look a bit of a bargain and I intend to pick a couple up at this price, especially as you've provided some good tips too.

I brush the stone with some veg oil and put the uncooked pizza base (homemade dough) onto it, then cook for 5 mins, then finish making the pizza before putting back in the oven.

Yeah the picture does seem a bit out of perspective but these stones usually are of a decent size and since ALDI are running an Italian theme next week, I suspect people won't be disappointed. I've been impressed by their Italian stuff in the past.

I hope so - I'll be using mine for frozen or homemade. With the frozen ones, I'm presuming the clay does what it says and keeps bases dryer, soaking up excess moisture. Like wakaru said, it'll cook it evenly with the added bonus that it'll also stay hot when served (_;)

I use mine in the same way you would any baking tray, put your food on it - fish fingers, chips etc cook well on them too. Wouldn't like without mine got mine from pampered chef but might get another for that price.

when cooking on it... rather trhen using veggie oil - just dust it with flour,.... stops it from sticking and less oil.

Take care when using a pizza stone over direct heat. The thin ones have been known to explode on occassion that way.

I got this 6 years ago. Still going strong. So easy and speeds up time of cooking the pizza once it it on the stone.

Been tempted to buy a Pampered Chef one for a few years now, but could never justify the price. This looks fab, def getting one! Apparently excellent for cooking potato/sweet potato wedges etc too!
