Simple stuff, I think this is a cheap price! Online only, In-store is a higher price.

Please let me know if it's cheaper elsewhere.

I feel sorry for you having to spend £34.95 just to watch Planet Earth in HD on your Blu-ray player. I spent less than that buying Planet Earth AND the HD-DVD player to watch it on, lol :w00t::w00t:.

To the idiots going on about the HD-DVD version: Utterly pointless and irrelevant.

It's a different format ffs, it can't be played in a BR player so why go on about it in another format?

It's like If I posted up a deal whereby a game was £24.99 for the 360 and then someone comes along and says "Cold, because I can get it for £22.99 for the PS3" - utterly pointless.

I own both a 360 HD-DVD drive and a PS3 and I also collect the cheap HD-DVD's but at least I have the common sense and the decency to respect a deal when i see one. Try going and searching for a better price for Planet Earth on Blu-ray in the UK, then have a go at the OP.

Voted "Hot" as it the best price out there for this title on BR that I can see in the UK. Whizzkid said it was the same price at several places but neglected to post the links.

seems PE is £12 appx, so would you mind/care sharing where you can get an HD-DVD player from for £22.95 [not x-box add-on] because id seriously be inerested in buying one as there are great savings to be made here on a lot ofboxsets id like to get

thanks...

Well my comment was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek so don't go getting all worked up calling people idiots. I couldn't resist being that for about £10 less you could have picked up the exact same HD box set AND the HD player to play it on. Just seems kinda funny to me that this might be considered a hot deal by some. Oh and ever notice the amount of abuse people round here get from the Blu-ray fanboys if they dare post a HD DVD deal up?.

Blu-ray .mkv rips FTW anyways :w00t::w00t:

edit
@ir2000
I was referring to the Xbox addon which could be used on a PC if you don't have a 360.

The xbox drives have been available for about a tenner in the past. They work on the pc aswell, not restricted to xbox 360's.

yep ...
it was probably amazon germany who were selling them for £7 each approx about 2 months (yes they were xbox ones) ago ... I bought 3 personally ....

although I use my 2 toshibas all the time ... picked up from play.com for £50 with a pack of HD DVD's ... worth about £30 at the time ... 50 - 30 = 20 ?

I also own 2 Blu ray players also .. but prefer HD DVDs ... I prefer the menu system and extras. I don't mind buying BLU RAYs either when priced decently e.g. just got STARGATE from movietyme for £7.99 ...

its really annoying that us poor hd dvd owners now have to buy from abroad because we have all the British HD's that were released that we want ..

Wouldnt like to try to work out how much they have all cost !
The likes of "band of brothers" ,5 disc set was about £70 , other rare ones were up to £24 each.

Still , a very good collection that would have cost a fortune at BluRay prices :-D
