Try www.movietyme.com for USA blu-rays.
#14
ooooo this is good hd dvd and blu ray planet earth on the front page - but which will be hotter?
#15
the uk version will be better than USA as its 5disc as opposed to 4.

Ordered this from Amazon with 5% discount. Would order from Virgin MS as I get 10% off but they're **** imo

Now, Now.... Let the battle begin...

I have a ps3 and a xbox 360 - Now which has hi-def playback? PS3 wins for me.

Both output 1080p

Nice one to get but too expensive for me.
#19
I have a 360 but no hd dvd drive. Wouldn't even think of buying one due to the noise!

So it had to be Blu ray for me!

lol I thought I've seen something like that before! I use em on my laptop when I'm watching something on there.

But nah man if your watching a film on a big screen you need some kind of speaker set up!

Believe me it is. More of an annoyance then a major problem.

Id never go back to surround sound listening to films with headphones on is fantastic and you immerse yourself fulyl in the film or program

The HD-DVD version will be hotter.

REASON: Xbox 360 fans who vote everything related to PS3 as cold will also vote this cold and vote the
HD-DVD one hot.

Oh and by the way, surround sound is a hell of a lot better than headphones. Headphones just can't produce the quality of a good surround sound system and are NOT as immersive.

And vice-versa, as evidenced by the yo-yo-ing HD-DVD thread.

Of course, some people might just be holding back voting at all, because they are simply sick of zealots polluting the threads with superfluous comments.

It's not even a game.

I watch films on my own.

Just me and the voices in my head.

If only this was available on HD-DVD...

Runs.

HD = Hd Dvd
BR = BlueRay

Well, actually, if you're getting technical it's this:

HD-DVD = High Definition Digital Versatile Disk
BD = Blu-Ray Disk

Not sure about the UK version but the US version apparently is:

http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=355&sort=3a&&&page=6

Not sure if that means it's more likely that the UK version is also region free.
