Well Quidco is an insentive to make people shop at a certain company, say for example Amazon has no Quidco and Play.com has.
So if an item is the same price at both then people will more likely choose Play.com to get some money back

Instead of companies paying for advertisements, they pay Quidco a commision which then get's handed down to Quidco's customers

It's no scam, i got about £150 from them so far

Basically, you save money, the retailer makes more money. The retailer gives abit of that extra profit to quidco.

Quidco take a £5 annual membership fee, but if you don't make £5 then there is no charge
Although Topcashback don't charge a fee at all, which is better

They take the first fiver you earn off you (each year) I think before you see any returns. They pay direct to your bank account too. I've not regretted joining and have had about £45 back since Feb though I'm not a massive spender.

Works pretty well IMO, the better sites like play and hmv pay up quickly  though BangCD has never paid up :x

Total paid to me from QuidCo since my membership started in November 2006:

    £414.93

Total deducted from my account by QuidCo in the three years of membership:

    £15.00

    Net Total (paid to me):

    £399.93

My best "cashback" was from MicroWarehouse in October 2007 when I bought the laptop I am currently typing on: £92.99. It didn't reach my nominated bank account until March 2008 though.

if you won't accept recommemndations of people who have been using quidco for years happily, I wonder why did asked?
i've had hundreds from them over the years, you give out only enough bank details or paypal details for them to pay into and they deduct the £5 charge before paying you so they never actually take money from you.
They have proven over years and years by people who know a bargain and look out for the scam to be really good.

Sorry to steal this thread for quidco (there are others dedicated to it) now....this blueray planet earth....will my inlaws like it for xmas?
