Yup, I couldn't believe it so snapped it up immediately! It looks fantastic in High Definition! Chepaest I've found it online is £35.

Yes, it's not online, I'm guessing it's just an instore thing cos it's easy to misprice these things and mix Blurays up with DVDs.

Never watched the programme, any good on HD?
#5
Slight digression here but does anyone know of any deals for the HD-DVD version?
#6
BARGAIN!!
Have the HD DVD version and looks absolutely fantastic. Definitely worth getting the HD version if you have the player (especially at this price) - question though does this have the same special features as the HD DVD or SD DVD version?

Though just thought I better say, shame it won't look as good as the HD DVD version :D lol

Heat added, good find in M+S of all places!

Excellent price.

Even better considering the DVD set is the same price in M&S! It's funny cos M&S DVD's are ever rarely below RRP.

Yes that's correct, but it has obviously been marked up incorrectly. So it would be better to go into a store to check it out rather than ring. I purchased in Cardiff, Culverhouse Cross, last night.

It's not a deal, it's a markup mistake, the only way you'll find out if you can take advantage of it is if you go instore, Cardiff won't be the only place this kind of thing has gone wrong.

This is **** because if its the UK version ...... look closely ...... its in 1080i.

I think only the USA version which is region free is in full 1080p.

Dunno why this stupid decision was made. I wont buy it for this reason.
#27

#28

Its only the 5th disc which is in 1080i, the first 4 discs are in 1080p, the USA version only has the first 4 discs.

Do you honestly think they would've made the decision? Or is it more likely the packaging is wrong...it even says on the back that some parts aren't even HD at all, just the nature of the challenging filming conditions.

The photograpghy and commentary by David Attenbrough is absoloutely brilliant. The photography quality is 10/10. I have watched it over a dozen times in a month and still not bored with it. Definetely worth buying
