Region 2 Release - 10-3-2008

£9.99 without quidco.

"Robert Rodriguez, co-director of Sin City, brings you Planet Terror, a retro-futuristic vision of horror that's been weathered, stripped, and aged to perfection.

In Planet Terror, married doctors William and Dakota Block (Josh Brolin and Marley Shelton) find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged by gangrenous sores and a suspiciously vacant look in their eyes. Among the wounded is Cherry (Rose McGowan), a go-go dancer whose leg was ripped from her body during a roadside attack. Wray (Freddy Rodriguez), her former significant other, is at her side and watching her back. Cherry may be down, but she hasn't danced her last number. As the invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and Wray lead a team of accidental warriors into the night, hurtling towards a destiny that will leave millions infected, countless dead, and a lucky few struggling to find the last safe corner of Planet Terror.

Planet Terror also stars Michael Biehn, Jeff Fahey, Naveen Andrews, Stacy Ferguson and Michael Parks."

If your not fussy about non-UK versions then CDWOW do the Region 3 DTS version @ £7.99 HERE.

(Have a hunt around & you'll find discount vouchers & links that will potentially bring this down further)

gd shout but that is only the one, not two disk and doesn't have all the special features

fantastic film - never failed to entertain anyone i've lent it to.

much better than the tarantino one, although that has one of the best climactic car chases i've ever seen.

the double bill is due to be released if you wanted them both...
personally i can't see when i'd sit down and watch them both together anyway.

don't forget to watch the trailers on youtube - especially "hobo with a shotgun"

Fair comment but to some people the DTS soundtrack & the fact that the Region 3 version is showing a 4 minute longer running time will possibly be of more interest than extras to some.....

(No idea what the running time difference is so hopefully a fan can enlighten me/us)

I normally check DVD compare for DVD comparions, though they don't list either the Region 2/3 versions:
http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=11870

Play.com list this 2 disc version @ 105min so I'm not sure where you get the 4mins difference from, as CD-WOW has this @ 105mins as well...

Normally NTSC DVDs are slightly longer than the PAL counterpart due to the difference of the framerate speed, even though they are the same version.

This is true, i did find a £2 off discount code here:
http://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/discounts/hmv.co.uk
I was unsure how this site works and i didn't know the rules about ripping codes straight off other discount sites.
