£1 cheaper than the best priced single disc edition.
Director Robert Rodriguez (SIN CITY) pays homage to his favourite B-movies with PLANET TERROR, an old-fashioned zombie film that's infused with enough gore and giggles to please even Peter Jackson (BAD TASTE). Rose McGowan (CHARMED) plays Cherry, a go-go dancer whose night is interrupted by a vicious zombie attack that leaves her missing a leg. Her ex-boyfriend, Wray (Freddy Rodriguez, SIX FEET UNDER), takes charge, fashioning her a new leg from a machine gun and killing zombies along the way. PLANET TERROR plays as a pleasing ode to the horror and exploitation films that once played in grimy grindhouses across the country. Rodriguez splashes plenty of blood, guts, and gore across the screen, while also taking the plot into some wonderfully bizarre territory. PLANET TERROR was originally released as part of the GRINDHOUSE double feature with Quentin Tarantino's DEATH PROOF.

Hot - I'm still waiting for a release of Grindhouse though: neither single edition DVD includes the fake trailers, which are absolutely amazing, and prefered both films when shortened for a double bill. I believe one of the trailers is being made into a film: Machete, so if you like these you should love that...

He must have fun at airports. :w00t:

I favourite bit of Planet Terror trivia is that the two actors in the sex scene were filmed separately and then composited together with CGI. It sounds like a joke but its true.

He looks like Gordon Ramsay on the way to Fleet Street after they’ve printed more stories about him ‘playing away’.

Its a piece of well dodgy 70's B movie garbage and I loved it !.

Loads more fun than Tarantino's grindhouse effort which I found really boring.

Some reviews here :

To be quite honest i watched this film and i laughed because the film was that bad, im actually suprised they managed to get Bruce Willis to play a part in it.

Appauling storyline, but thats no reason to vote cold if its the best price,

Though you could argue that it was intentionally bad, as it is a pastiche of exploitation films. I loved both of them. Didn't realise that some of the trailers were on the DVDs, my bad  If you haven't seen them, you could always just google/youtube "Grindhouse trailers" to see some of the best films never made. I would have been so, so happy to watch two hours of fake trailers... Hobo With A Shotgun, Werewolf Women Of The S.S... :w00t:

Actually, if you share my strange interest there is a DVD available comprised entirely of grindhouse trailers, it's called Grindhouse Trailer Classics. Fantabulous.
