Got this through EA Access. Fun enough little romp

Brilliant game, definitely worth £15 but, may as well get EA Access for £20 for the year as this is included and get Battlefield 4, NFS: Most Wanted and some other stuff :p.

People like myself would rather have the box. So no, we aren't necessarily better getting da access

I've never understood people that spend hundreds of pounds on a console and then spend their time playing with the plastic boxes that the games come in.
Each to their own I guess.

I prefer having a physical copy of a game as well and as such at this price I'm tempted to get it on disc, just in case.
That said, we have two Xbox Ones in our house so me and my partner could play Destiny and other games together that don't have split screen and I have the main console set as my home console and am subscribed to Gold and EA access and my partner can game on that, while I use the second Xbox and also play PVZ :D.
I know it's not an option for everyone though, my partners dad got an Xbox One recently and has terrible internet speeds, and while he can play this, to download it would have taken forever so we took it away and did it at home and after him buying Walking Dead S1 & S2 bundle, I think we'll make him stick with disc games as that took a week to download. So no, I know it's not ideal for everyone and I know some people prefer to have the disc and can trade it in at a later date and generally I am of that mind but, for me, EA Access was too good a deal to pass up as I did want NFS and BF4 and wanted to try this, as it happens we've only touched BF4 once but this is played almost daily.

Any deals for this on Xbox 360? Cheapest I can see it for is £19.99 which doesn't seem like much of a deal :( .
#13
If you can't get it through EA access (d/l caps etc.) then this is a good deal.
Great game, can't recommend it enough. Only problem now is that it can be a little bit low in terms of population during non-peak hours. You'll still be able to get a game in all the popular playlists.

I completely understand the arguments for a boxed physical copy over digital, but when we're talking £20 for access to 7 games for a year it's a bit of a no brainer.

It's not as if these games are collectable or hold their value, and when this one alone is £15 you might as well go for the access subscription.
#15
If you have a friend or someone you trust with the Xbox One, the EA Access is a much better purchase as you and your friend can share the cost for EA Access, so £10 each and both can enjoy all the free games.

makes no sense, for £20 you get £200 worth of games, also no need to keep inserting the disk every time, than again some people may want shelf fillers, most of my XB1 games are digital and over 200 games in Steam library all digital no cds, than agin if a boxed game is cheaper (just dance 15 £18 disk £40 digital) id get disk as its cheaper

i have this on Origin and via EA access too. nice game but at 35 don't have much time to play

Maybe not £200, but the point is fair.

Peggle 2 is worth £8, FIFA 14 costs £5 in CEX, UFC, PvZ, NFS, Madden 25 and Battlefield 4 are £15 a piece.

Still, that's £88 worth of games for £20 a year. There's a reason people keep bringing it up - because it's good value.

I got this for free on PS4 when they had that conference.

disc copy is better, resale value as well as being able to display the games you got. I don't like sports games so for me EA access just isn't worth it. anyone that buys their games on download are fools to pay those extortionate prices. my friend just got dying light on preorder through xbox store for £60/70! need I say more..

If your friend uses abit of sense and buys vouchers online he technically wont pay those prices, but yeah they are pretty ridiculous,

Ea access is full of outdated sports games and shooters, I wouldn't recommend it unless they put dragon age in it, which they won't.

Battlefield, UFC and Need For Speed are all their latest iterations.

There not going to put in there latest triple AAA games now are they?

and for the price the selections not bad!

Got it free on ps4 and via EA access for Xbox one. All in all its a fun game and made me take it up on the iPad.
#33
However you get it, this is such a fun game and one that you can actually play with most of the family. £15 seems more than fair for the XBox One, though obviously if you could get it free that would be better. Love PvZ in all its formats.

Great price and a Hot deal, which ironically is what this site is about.

Maybe someone should make a game call 'Digital Codes v Products'. as it seems a popular battle lately.

It's not bad at all. I'm just not a big fan of multiplayer games as I prefer a good story. Just my opinion.

Missed the free PS4 version :(
