Sorry whats wrong with that

surely HD ready is anything that can broadcast 720p which this surely can with 1024 * 768 Pixels......

Its not Full HD Ready as it cannot do 1080p if that is wot you mean....

I don't think the OP really meant play.com - isn't this Empire Direct with the 10% voucher?

... and from Empire Direct it does come with a 5-year warranty which the OP didn't mention (or the £19.99 delivery).

£659.99 - £66.00 = £593.99

Plus postage = £613.98 (slightly cheaper than the £616 posted previously)

1024 * 768 is a 4:3 resolution - not the best for a widescreen telly: spec on the site is probably wrong!

Edit: Yup - 720p is 1280 * 720 - Don't see how they can claim this is an HD ready TV!

looks like it was a misprice

Yes, its Empire Direct, not Play.com. Sorry about that. Can the mods correct this. The deal is certainly not expired

I still think it was just the wrong link :).
#8
Ive corrected the link - to EmpireDirect
#9
It still says "Play.com deals" so it would be good if someone could correct this as well.

OP - you should probably change the price to include the price as well.

thats because the pixels are not square, go here and it says this is a recognised plasma display resolution that is HD Ready http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-definition_television

regardless, look at the reviews, nowt wrong with the picture Q of this set
