Cold import charges kill

yeah anything over £15 outside the EU i believe
Cold import charges kill
Out now (no physical release Europe) : Gundam Breaker 3 (second this), Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Dragon quest Builders Vita, Caladrius Blaze. Some preorders (no physical release Europe, least one of platforms): Zero escape Nonary Games, Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours Ltd edition, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, River City Melee Battle Royal Special, Super Robot Wars V.

It also advisable to add neutral packaging to the order (Less conspicuous on the parcels to pass thru customs however not guaranteed, but way better than playasia own parcels) They are do lots of cool accessories for handhelds. eg the vita hori remote play assist attachment. Various screen protectors, pouches, cases, etc that under £15

I ordered Super Robot wars V (1 order), Dariusburst limited edition + Hori remote (1 order), Shantae (1 order), Heihachi Vita case + new 3ds xl hori screen protector (1 order just under £15)

Worth noting it still the cheapest place to get new ps vita slim (whether gets hit by import charges or not) factoring free shipping

Edited By: toca73 on Feb 22, 2017 14:40: all with neutral packaging, will let you know any
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is $5 for Xbox 360 - great price if you don't have a gaming PC.

Could you recommend me some cool imports for region free consoles?
Gundam Breaker 3 for PS4 is a pretty cool, completely English localised, hack'n'slash Gundam game with mad loads of customisation + (cautiously) Drakengard 3, it's the prequel to Drakengard 1, 2 and Nier, has a pretty strong story with loads of twists and some pretty dark plot points and a stellar OST, suffers from framerate hiccups and often repetitive gameplay
Drakengard 3 was CA$10 on PSN recently, so it may be better to wait for another sale there. (Actually, it's CA$20 there without a sale anyway, which is much cheaper than US$20.)

heat for SNES. blue skies forever.
This there a web site that sell new releases retro console games like this? I love the fact you can still get games like this without having to pay early to mid 90's prices when it was £60 for a new released snes game only for it to be

I actually ordered 2 because when nightmare busters came out for the snes a couple of years back it was about 45 quid delivered to the uk and i missed it, within weeks of it's release it was selling for £200 on ebay and i was gutted. This time round i'm just hoping to sell my 2nd copy to cover the cost of the one i'm keeping :)

http://www.nightmarebusters.com/purchase.htm You can still but it here for a decent price
Thanks. I would never know that's a new snes game would be out in the one on one beat up style. Ordered

Not great reviews on YouTube.
£60 over priced.

+ postage + import tax +£8 Royal Mail handing fee. Wont be much of a saving by the time your finished.

So I thought I'd take that on board, and have a look at the shipping options with a view to adding them to the original post...

...and you're right. Cheapest shipping option is £49. FORTY NINE QUID! Plus 20% VAT to go on the total cost (item plus shipping), nah forget it, this is a terrible deal. If you buy this, you're stupid.

I'll definitely buy this but not until its on a massive discount and on download rather than disc. Full price for three PS1 games is laughable and Activision can take a hike at that price.
If customs pick up on it you will be slapped with VAT and £8 RM handling fee. Plus will be around this price in the UK. Cold

Do you have to pay import duty on games from here?

I don't think you have technically as it's a disk. But I've been charged loads of time for it

Not heard of this so Googled it. Im interested but I need a lie down just after reading a review! Below is just an example...
"In one puzzle alone, I used to block to disable a force field by setting it on a trigger, after which I took a jammer to disable the fan that was blowing me back down one particular corridor. I stripped the head off the disabled fan, then used a laser connector to trigger another pair of doorways by shooting out three beams..."
The difficulty curve is perfectly judged, though. By the time you get to that point in the game it'll make perfect sense... and then there'll be a new, similarly mindbending element gradually introduced shortly after. Puzzle-wise it's better than Portal, but it's not as funny

The game is very challenging in some puzzles but you'll quickly adjust! If you liked portal (it's not the same I know I know) it does fill a void. I never felt more stupid and more intelligent while playing a game :D

From what I understand this is yet another 'demo' type game that is only a few hours long rather than a proper full sized game. You have to wonder what they were thinking when they decided to release it as a full priced title. Unless this gets 90% + in reviews you've got to think it's better to wait until it's sub £20.

Or you could just play through and sell it on for a £5 -£10 loss.
Great price :)

I thought the same when i first played it for the first 3-5 hrs then stopped. 6 months later i gave it another go and its not bad once you get into it, think once i realised it was not the same as the originals and accepted it, i did start to enjoy it to the point where i completed it. At this price you cant really go wrong. Heat.

Confirmation from EuroGamer that, as expected, the remastered Minerva's Den will be its own, separate game: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-09-12-how-to-upgrade-pc-copies-of-bioshock-bioshock-2-on-steam

BioShock: The Collection launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week. It includes BioShock 1, 2 and Infinite plus all single-player DLC, including the excellent Minerva's Den expansion for BioShock 2 (if you already own Minerva's Den on Steam, the remastered version will automatically show up in your Steam library as a separate game). Steam owners will get upgraded for free this Thursday, 15th September.

Wonder if, you aint got Minerva's Den when the remaster comes out, and you dont get it for free, if you then go buy it, you then get Minerva's Den remastered free, or you have to have it before the remaster date 13th.
I wonder if, you buy Minerva's den on steam before the remaster comes out then get the free upgrade, then get a refund on Minerva's den, do you get to keep the free upgrade? X)
I am still thinking that remastered Bioshock 2 may come with Minerva's den included and not as a separate item in steam as it is now.

Will they remaster minervas den and give it for free to people who dont have minervas den already?
Yes; no.
Really? I have all 3 but not any DLC. I wont get minerva's den then. Shame if thats true i heard its very good
It not "very good", it's amazing beyond words. It's actually the best single player DLC that's ever been produced.
Now that is a scientific fact - there's no real evidence for it - but it is scientific FACT.
You can perhaps have second best, but as Blood and Wine now exists it can't really have any claim to being the "best". ;)

There's a certain amount of (as-yet unresolved) uncertainty given the wording of the announcement, but most likely you'll need to have purchased Minerva's Den to qualify for its upgraded version.

Not for certain, no, but it's unlikely that it will.

import taxes ?

Never had to pay in with Play-Asia but it's been a while since I bought anything from them, I think if you use the standard delivery and pay for the brown box packaging you should be alright.
Even then VAT would only be ~£8-9 which would still make cheaper than most UK sellers

Plus £8 handling fee c/o the post office...
The Xonar U5 is a really nice piece of kit. I switch between HyperX Cloud headphones and Creative T40 speakers frequently. The sound quality is nice (it drives the headphones really well). As an added bonus, it's really convenient to have the headphone/speaker switch and volume control there on the desktop.

Reasonably priced delivery must equate to free in your book. Glad you figured out the log in part though, good for you.

Do you think >£17 is a reasonable delivery cost for a game? I didn't figure it out, another user who isn't preoccupied with making infantile, sardonic comments pointed it out. What's your problem anyway?

Didn't say I did? £3.95 on the other hand is a very reasonable price. You're the only one who has stated a £17 delivery charge on this thread and that was only after some prompting. As for infantile comments, you've made enough of them on here, as I'm sure many will testify to.

I have a MSI 1080 OC, and it has worked without problems since I got it. Just checked and it has Micron memory chips.
I've even overclocked it more, without issues.
I am swapping it out for a MSI Gaming Z in a week, but not because of any problems with the current card.
Are you RMAing that first 1080 OC?

Not quite. I originally had a Gaming X, but it was faulty, so I was sent a placeholder MSI 1080 OC card.

I then upgraded the replacement to the Gaming Z card, so will swap it back for that.

Cold for me
If you want to try OEM licenses £13.92 here, even cheaper if you use a Win 7 Pro key from there

Only want windows 7 so that helped!
What's the best way for me to get legit Windows 10 on a new build PC please?
Here is my two cents, with the windows 7 to windows 10 upgrade, installed using dvd drive and 1 intergral 120gb ssd(I have two). Its activated, but when i reinstall to the other intergral ssd instead(although identical drives), windows 10 not activated, so its not down to the motherboard etc, other factors, even tried to install onto a m2 drive, but windows still not activated.
masteratarms
Is this useful after the upgrade by date has expired?

That date is only for free upgrades from 7 and 8, if you're putting money down for 10 you can install it whenever you like.
don't quote me on this

but you can upgrade your system to windows 10 for free, activate it, then uninstall it (theres a uninstall option somewhere)

you can then upgrade it in future if you wish with no cost.
I think the end time is 11am saturday.

anyone know if the above is 100% true?

Extra £3.50 delivery
Play-Asia often have great prices including delivery (got a new model Ps Vita with delivery, a case and a game before UK release, for less than just the console here...), but it's a lottery as to whether or not you have to pay extra import charges... Had to file a couple of disputes with FedEx last time around to claim back some of their charges too!

Why did that go cold?
From the comments, when that was posted it had previously been cheaper. Of course, the fact that it was the cheapest available at the time was ignored by those voting cold. (_;)
Not quite correct - the fact that it has been cheaper at Simply Games for some weeks and still is resulted in it being a cold deal :)
That deal was the one from Simply Games, though, just after a temporary price rise.

By the time you get this it will be this price in the UK anyway. The price of this game is dropping like a stone already.
Don't talk wet.

Call me crazy, but I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that 20 is more than 17.

Getting closer though, it will be cheaper soon and people will still be waiting for asian copies.

Gearbox games always drop like a stone after release. Having worked in a game store for a good few years you get used to these trends. Battleborn is no different and is already hitting "Deal of the weeks" after only a couple of weeks after launch.

I'm not buying this, have you ever tried using Asian call centre.... lol.
The Asian version referenced here is the proper meaning of the word Asian. Asians aren't just people from and around Pakistan and India.

I was at the Gloucester cheese rolling downhill comp and was thinking if it was available at a hill around Small Heath, Sparkbrook or Alum Rock it would be extremely popular if a giant tissue roll was used.

Hello, I e=was wondering that about this japan import ps vita, Is the controlles different to an normal UK Playstation vita. I got confused that you said about the buttons, are they really swapped with each other in the settings can they be switched to normal buttons?!

From Rahim HUKD 6/27/16
At the time of launch it had great hardware hamstrung by memory cards. Then they revised it and removed OLED, memory cards remain over priced and now first party support is dead.
Id say the Slim is better than the original

Better battery life, lighter, slimmer, 1gb internal memory space incase you don't have mem card on you, more ergonomically comfortable in the hand, improved the back non-touch pads, slightly brighter screen, don't know if this one's true but read improved wifi aswell don't know but yeah i would definetly choose the Slim over the original.

Lovely handheld but Sony ruined it.
Quality console ruined by non-existent first-party support. Plenty of excellent games out there but the release schedule looks quite slim - unless you really like JRPGs.

SERIOUSLY?... i got a post removed as it was a "non UK merchant that wasn't suitable for HUKD"

That was a deal posted on some PC parts i ordered from Alza.co.uk that are based in eastern europe.
Didn't think hukd accept Asian sellers
HUKD will accept anyone who bungs them a few quid for affiliate links (_;)
totally agree, ive had comments removed for making a point of their commercial interests, and how they conflict with the users interests.

If it was an i7 for this price, maybe..... X)
Over £200 when it gets flagged for VAT, potentially more if they add a handling fee. Not worth it.
