Hi,
Not sure what class means.I need one for my videocamera. Which classs should I get?

#4
Class 10 means it's fast Katynka, so should be good for a video camera.

Cheap, but I personally wouldn't trust my holiday/birthday memories etc on this card to be honest, but heat added for the price.

Cheers. Just ordered a new camera and this will do nicely! Never had any problem with any flash memory. Should be fine.

That's not a fact, it's an observation.
I'm not saying it's completely impossible but what I think is more likely is that it arrived formatted differently to other cards.

Try using Panasonic's free SD formater software on flash cards. The card in my DS was alot faster loading etc.
#13
Are these genuinely Class 10? I've read (about flash) that some better brands undervalue the class rating of their cards, and more generic brands overvalue. Of course, it could just be internet mythology and I've fallen for it :D
#14
hot deal, but not sure how reliable these compare to other big brands

how much is 'much'?
if a few hundred meg then perhaps its to do with the 'channels' to get the speed increase.
if by much you mean gigs then id check the other cards you have to check are ok.
normal would show ~ 14.9gb in windows iirc.

either way - thread should be in computers not mobiles...unless it comes with the adapter!

Im worried that this may not be reliable, has anyone ever had problems with any brand of cards, or no ones to steer clear of?!
#22
wow so many smart **** on here..pardon me for posting useful info that could actually be of great use to some. And Im speaking from experience unlike some of you.

my 1st play 16gb card; 15.4gb actual storage
my 2nd play 16gb card; 15.4gb actual storage
memorystar 16gb card; 14.8gb actual storage

so thats 600mb difference, which is pretty significant. And thats checked on a PC.

Never had any problem with any memory cards yet. Take care of them and they'll be fine. Play.com memory sticks have been fine too.

your sneering sarcasm contributes nothing and is of zero use to anybody. Why you think I would even bother making false claims I can't imagine. Unlike you I try to post helpful info.

I wish the products would state if they are low or high capacity 16gb cards. It's just so confusing.
#26
Have these been formatted to use the same block size?

Thanks Ordered

Are they all formatted FAT32? FAT16? EXFAT? One being FAT16 and the others FAT32 would explain it.
