nice

Tempted, but don't really need a 16gb just yet. If it had been a Toshiba or PNY I may have (I did hear play's stuff WAS Toshiba, but unconfirmed) I am a bit of a brand fiend !

Less than £1 per gb, great price. Not buying, because I don't need the capacity just yet

This looks exactly like one manufactured by Integral. If it is the same, be aware that it is partitioned. The pirmary partition contains password software (not encryption) *.exe, which need to be launched, password entered, then access to the secondary partition with the bulk of the space.

Not suitable for sensitive data - as no encryption. Not suitable as an OS boot drive.

Saying all that I used the Integral 16Gb for about a year, until work started providing encypted USB drives. Good for back up and tranferring large files. Read/write speeds were acceptable for me (no formal benchmarked).

Also be aware that these are MASSIVE. If you have 2 usb ports one above the other, with this plugged in its a VERY tight squeeze to plug something into the other usb port, and you certainly couldn't have 2 of them connected together. Its identical to a 1Gb version I bought from scan years ago, paid £70 if IIRC (mental!)

Its a bit of a looker too ;)

This is uuuugly imo but the best price I've seen for a mass available 16GB.

Things that made me laugh about this though...
* 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty
If you lose your data then £14.49 is no big thing, and don't forget standard consumer (long distance) rights, and credit card protection, etc.

* Up to 40X faster than USB 1.1 (when connected to a USB 2.0 compliant system)
* Backward compatible with USB 1.1 systems (Will run at USB1.1 speed)
Okay we get it, it's USB 2.0 - whoop!

* Password protection (Windows)
Google: windows password protection brilliant

* The perfect gift for anyone with a computer.
Not if they've got USB 1.0

* Fits on to your key ring
You don't know my keyring!

Rant over.
Still a great price. I hope it's a sign of things to come with some of the bigger brands falling too.

Thanks OP heat and rep added
