Great spot, ordered one, is it 4% or 6% quidco?
#6
will this work with the Wii?
#7
Is it fast ? I bought a 2Gb sd card for my Panasonic Lumix camera recently, and it could not use more than 1Gb because of low data recording speed ...
#8
great price for a basic 2gb SD card.

I really like the look of the "SanDisk 2GB Ultra II SD Plus Card" for £13.49, which has the same capacity, but at higher speed and built in USB adapter. Very handy!

Also look out for 4gb Sandisk extreme III compact flash for £20.49 delivered, (link to hotukdeals posting)

This is £6.99 if you don't pay Amazon for delivery. Quality brand - I only use Sandisk or Kingston.

Will this work with a TomTom?

Yes.

I am not defending Play.com RRPs but I can remember buying a 1GB for crucial for nearly £30 in Jan 2006 so I assume 2GB for around £60 then. Thats some reduction in two years. Altough crucial are much better cards

Isn't a wii sd card an sd card with a wii sticker on it? So it should do.

Which Lumix do you have? I've just ordered a TZ3, was going to get a SanDisk Ultra II 2Gb for it. Might wait and buy one of these 2Gb to test see if it works before buying the Ultra.
#25
I have a TZ3 and I've bought the 2 and 4gb play cards and SanDisk Extreme 1 and 2gb and they all work fine in it.

4gb card runs perfectly for the maximum 23 minute 2gb worth of videoing you can do at once too.

Thanks, I might buy this 2gb one as its so cheaper and save my pennies (splashed out enough on the camera!)

Not that I am having a dig at you. Even my memory fades and it seemed such a long time ago but it is not.All goes to show how rapidly prices have fallen. This is my ebay purchase in May 2005 and it was cheaper than the shops in UK at the time |(bear in mind that this is high speed so it was then 2X the price of the normal speed):-

Item Number Item Title Quantity Price Subtotal
7518855919 1GB Secure Digital Memory Card 1024 SD 1 GB High Speed! 1 30.20 GBP 30.20 GBP
Postage & Packing via Standard Delivery to XXXXX
(includes any seller packing fees) £6.95 GBP
Postal Insurance (required) : £3.95 GBP

Total: £41.10 GBP
---------------------
And another one from PCnextday in Dec 2004 for 512MB , found out this after a Kelkoo , dealtime search engine then!!!!
Product Code Description Qty Unit Reqd Price (ex VAT) Value
1333-1050 512MB PQI SD Secure Digital Card (xxxxx) 1 EACH 15/12/04 £22.45 £22.45

But since then and in recent two years I get all my memory in UK as it has fallen so much, mainly caused by the channel islands sellers as well. As to 1995 What can one buy in 1995? Well, I think I was using a PC with 486 CPU then ! And the average hard disk size in a computer was 2GB (or was it 500 MB?) for about £100 ? In 1992(?) I was using an IBM PC-XT with 10 MB harddisk and memory of 64 KB?? running DOS v3 ?? !!! I am not sure now, such a long time ago. Well the 5.25" diskettes were common then it had 256/512 KB of storage.
#32
I paid about £60 for a 64MB Smart Media card about 6 years ago :giggle:

err ... the brown one :-D DMC-FX07 I guess ...

it just stops to capture video and all pictures are black after 1Gb
Although that card was a noname from ebay-asia, I suppose the speed is the key factor ?

I remember installing Descent from a 5.25" diskette ..took a couple of hours to unpack :)
