Am I right in thinking this is the cheapest form of memory? Got a new laptop to transfer data to and wanna do it cheap.

This is unless it's actually possible to transfer files via ethernet tween lappys.

If the micro sd price drop continues they'll be giving them away soon.... After a 32gb but can't bring myself to buy as the prices keep on falling
#3
Thanks for posting, just got one for my phone :)

Great deal (if you still shop with Play).

Felix 360: this is surely one for google, but I don't see why you couldn't set up a local area network and then transfer between the two that way?
#6
Beware, all SD cards I've ordered from Play have been fakes.

Great deal (if you still shop with Play).

Not with the 3rd party sellers i don't shop anymore as you get too many problems but Play themselves are ok.

Id thought you could just put the data that you want transferring in a specific folder too share on your network, too transfer data between computers.
You could if you want too go uploading it and the downloading it at a later date use Dropbox that has 2.5gb usage on a free account.

Anyhow.. as for deal i voted hot 8) I picked up a cheap camera for using on nights out, so this micro sd card in a Micro sd to regular adapter would be ideal my camera.

Last time I ordered something that was awaiting stock was 4 months ago! Be surprised if this comes too.

And the criteria for a "genuine" Play.com card being what ? - they're not a "brand" that people would have faith in - they are by nature going to be "fake" - as opposed to Sandisk for example that must have some sort of electronic identifier / stamp built into their cards which determine them to be genuine

If you think about it Play.com are hardly going to go to the expense of ordering 1000's of these in bulk from a Kingston / Samsung / Sandisk - they're going to order in bulk from a cheap and cheerful Chinese factory - we just hope they're a reasonable quality chinese manufactured item from one of the better factories
