I don't think you can compare the two as there are not many external hard drives that fit on a key ring hence the price difference

This is a specialist piece of kit for a user that requires that sort of storage capacity now. Early adopters always have to pay over the odds for this type of technology.

It would be more cost effective to buy an iPod classic and use it as a removable drive lol
