Hi I know the r4 cards that does in a ds lite only takes up to a 4gb micro sd. It will not take any sdhc cards, I made that mistake a few months back, managed to get a 2gb micro sd card from 7 day shop for about £3.

it depends if the r4 takes sdhc some do some dont read the box uve got!

The DSTTi does.

Quick question
I have an a microSD to Full SD adapter in the drawer. Can I use the microSDHC card in the Full SD adapter? OR do I need a Full SDHC adapter?

Many Thanks

basically, these cards are fast, thumbs up
but you'll probably need a decent reader to get the best out of it, the small ones from dealextreme work well.

I just tried my microSD HD from N95 in standard micro to full SD adapter and it works fine. Although i doubt it would xfer data at HD speeds

What about with the Edge-DS?

What about with the Edge-DS?

yes - basically any flashcart which says 'sdhc' anywhere on the box
real r4 cant use them
fake/cloned r4s like upgrades III advanced etc can
dstt/ak2/m3real/supercard1/cyclods/ez5 etc all can (as well as any dsi cart)

using one of these in an adapter to make a full sd card should lead to virtually no speed losses vs the microsd card itself but you may ofc be able to get sd cards which are faster.

pretty sure all these basic adapters are are a piece of plastic with some conductors to move the spacing of the contacts - nothing technical in them.

its a Class 4 card if anyone was interested

The DSTT takes SDHC cards (You need to load the latest firmware for it to work)
Only using 4GB SDHC so do not know about 8GB+ Cards

Depends on what you are plugging it in too. I believe those converters are just straight though and passive and so unless the target is SDHC ready it won't work. I have a HP PC with an SD card reader in it, but its a non starter with those microSDHC -> SD adaptors. I had to buy a USB 2.0 SDHC adapter instead.

Thanks  As long it is recognised, Did you use an old Full SD adapter or the one supplied with your micro SDHC card?

Thanks  Its basically a Navigo, I would rather pay a quid extra to have that extra flexibility to use in other hardware like mobiles

Its just the nature of these things. I had one from Play. Sandisk Mobile Premier Brand. It just died while in my phone. No warning signs or anything. Sandisk did however replace under warranty. The funny thing was, that I could have bought a new one for the same price as postage to their warranty department in Yugoslavia.

I'm in for 3, I love backing up my files on microSDHC, wish the 16gb's were cheaper, but this is much better than using 2 dvds, which may lose your data over time.

1 of them will be for my Bold, already got 1 in my Javelin
#28
its cheap mate.. quite reasonable price for 8GB. heat added!
#29
I wonder why they are still available?
#30
Can't tell if mine is faulty or i need a new reader...

Will update later when tried a new sdhc reader... :x

Edit: Been sent back to Play as a faulty card - wouldn't work in numerous card readers all of which were sdhc compatible.

will this work in a sony ericsson phone?
