I agree. I bought one of their old Play.com branded mp3 players. Worst piece of tech ever. Poor build quality and really crap software.
Stay away from these products.

I'm fairly certain he is trying to say that the mp3 player is rubbish not everything from china.
Yup, buts theres stuff thats made in china and then theres cheap Chinese rubbish. Apple/Microsoft/SanDisk et al will manufacture their products in China but will expect higher standards of quality. Generic non-branded products are manufactured in China to the spec of whoever is manufacturing them, usually not to the same quality standards as product designs that are specifically exported from Western regions.

There's two in my household. An 8GB micro SD card is only £10.99 from Play and the 16GB and 32GB ones will drop in price in no time with the speed technology.
They play FLAC and OGGs files too and they're smaller than the size of a matchbox!

The difference being that this is made by some poor 5 year old asian kids in awful working conditions with extremely low quality plastics.
Sandisk aren't a great example either, there are decent chinese made products, but sandisks like are blown away by the japanese manufacturers (kingston etc).
Same as pretty much all made in china products - why do you think western companies outsource to countries like china? The lack of worker protection programs.
That was a while back so I can't comment or rate this as they may...... may have notched it up a gear. Personal experience has kept me away though.
