Awesome deal.

Just make sure you have enough space to put the thing, it's pretty serious!!
#2
Great deal, wish it worked with the 360 :(
#3
Hot hot hot!
#4
Tempting... will it fall further with the G27 coming?

The voucher is working now by-the-way.
#5
Amazing deal, had one for years and its amazing (and still going strong). At this price no excuse if you've been holding out.
#6
I'd feel a bit depressed about how my life was going if I were to spend £100 on a Steering wheel for computer games.

That said, I'd happily spend that on a set of brakes for a bike so I suppose it's horses for courses.
Not voting either way.

Word! Still... one can dream, eh?

@ NiggyG: Thanks! Amended start date.

Why do this to me WHY WHY
#9
bought one 3 weeks ago for £120 from play.:x Do they price match their own prices after just under 3 weeks? Heard of other companies doing this, although not sure if it was almost 3 weeks later.
#10
I bought one of these 4 weeks ago for £140 but hardly use it since i have nothing to support it on. So please make sure you have something to fix it to in front of the tv. This is still a brilliant wheel works brilliantly on PC & PS3 driving games.
#11
I got that email too, absolute bargain for the best steering wheel out there. I would buy if I hadn't already bought the Driving Force a couple of months back. :(

If you've paid £40 odd notes for a racing game, this will certainly add a new dimension to the game.

It is by far the best steering wheel out there for the PC/PS3. The motors are so strong, you'll get biceps by the end of your gaming session.

Just bought Thanks OP

so it's pretty much useless if playing on your lap? I'm so tempted but i'm in the same boat as you! I think the next best thing to use would be a gaming chair? But then my wife would surely kill me! Give me potions people...PLEASE! ;-)
#15
I let the wife use this to build up her confidence before she sat her driving test.

She managed to crash the computer 3 times.....

Better to have crashed the PC rather than the car. Did she pass the driving test?

is there any way to use two play voucher codes :(

I have a voucher code to use, but this allways happens... they make you enter a voucher codes to get the £99 price which means you can't use a voucher to pay for the items, as the code entry box dissapears/is filled with the Logg25 code :x:x

does anyone know how to enter two:thinking:

cheers, Nick

Works just fine attached to an ironing board, I've found.

It will transform the way you play Gran Turismo but it's not so good with other racing games (oversensitve and reduced functionality), so think carefully before buying.
#19
On your lap this is useless, tbh.

It's worth mentioning the G27 will be coming out soon with a few more buttons (But no sequential mode), quieter and better FFB and some fancy lights - I don't think it will be that good value, though...

I got one of these the last time Play were selling it for £99.99, I also bought a Wheel Stand Pro to mount it on and it works a treat.

for those who missed this deal the first time around, should not miss this. Such an unbelievably nice wheel. You can feel the rear end of the car slide around corners... it is that good

On the PC Its bloody fantastic with:

Richard Burns rally
Race 07
GTR, GTR 2
GTR Evolution
RFactor
Live for Speed
GT Legends

On the PS3 I've used it with GT5 Prologue which it works well with but personally I don't like the game and recently I tried it with the Dirt 2 demo on PS3 and can report it works great with that which was a surprise as they (codemasters) never got it feeling right with Dirt 1 or Grid.

Oh and ideally it does want to be mounted on one of those race seat thingys, gameracer.com or playseat.com.
#23
A must have if you are into your Sim Racing guys.

Ironing boards are the best things for Logitech wheels. They are height-adjustable and offer all the lateral support you need, plus they fold away afterwards :-)
#25
The problem is I don't have the space for a racing seat and the wheel stand pro (which looks perfect as it folds away) is another £99 which i can't justify at the moment. Looks like the ironing board will have to do. LOL, the day my wife see's me pulling out the ironing board from under the stairs only to be used for mounting a gaming wheel... the expression on her face will be priceless!

Depends if you can afford it really doesnt it. I bought it for this price last time it came around and think its worth every penny. Whether people agree or not, ive actually found that its helped me with learning to drive, i hadnt been for a lesson for 3 months, during which time i was playing on the G25 on GT5p, and i went out for 2 and a half hours, driving far better than 3 months previously.

You really do have to try it to beleive it, i mean you could spend a quid a time on an unrealistic driving game in an arcade. This is far superior technology to any of those, you can use it whenever you want, for aslong as you want.

HOT HOT HOT! just txt a friend and TOLD him to get his credit card ready for the weekend :D

thanks, ordered!

you should mention quidco et al in the op.

WOW! I didn't know about this! I've been racking my brains about how I could get this out of my study and into the living room to use with the PS3! Awesome find! Thanks!

Great review of G25 vs G27 here:

Not really worth paying 2x the price or more for the G27, I think. H&R for the OP and wheel ordered from Play

My thoughts exactly ;-) Orderd it for my 'early' birthday present on behalf of the missus. Problem is she doesn't know it yet. A surprise for both us, double win. BAH!

I was umming and urring so tried to find some reviews, sadly there are very few

Came across this
http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/26/logitech-g27-racing-wheel-hands-and-feet-on/

Having read that, it looks like the G25 is a bargain. Its not worth spending the extra £££ on the G27. And for £100 Delivered + quidco, this really is a good deal.

Get them while you can, cause the G27 really is not worth the extra £££...
banned#33
Will this work with Motorstorm pacific rift on ps3(any one tried)
thanks
#34
Now its on the way i feel obliged to buy a driving game to play it with, any good deals on supported ps3 games?
#35
I'm so tempted....dam UKHD's.....
#36
Me too! £100 can get me 4 four driving lessons. It's tough but I'm going to be wise and buy the lessons. Wiser investment in the long run.

So, so, so tempting though! And I have the space, too!

Someone said the same thing when I said I bought The Orange Box on 360. Bought it on PC in the end so I own it on both platforms now anyway. ;)

I shall get the G25 one day. Probably when that G27 comes out/after I pass my test and get a car. Whichever comes first!

Still... I have my official 360 wheel to keep me occupied for now anyway. :D

Will there be a new wheel for the new GT for PS3, not the current GT wheel but a new one??
