It's amazing how Playboy has become something you buy for your children lol :whistling:

Do you get any Playmates with this?

Indeed - worth remembering that anything with a Playboy logo is promoting pornography, and as it's a registered trademark, buying such products is putting money into the porn industry. Perhaps not ideal for teenagers then!

This isn't playboy clothing, so it's not so bad. For clothing I think a good yardstick is that if you buy this for your daughter then leching old men will look at her and associate her young flesh with pornography.

Is this what you want for your child?

For a photo album...at least it won't be on public display, but if I saw a playboy photo album, I'm not sure what I'd expect to see in it...?!

People just buy stuff these days because it is popular without thinking about the implications.

I'm very liberal and don't have a problem with pornography at all, but I wouldn't want my teenage daughter to be promoting it, and I wouldn't want blokes to be associating her with it either. Still, if you're the kind of parent who doesn't have the savvy to make this connection, then fair enough, this might be a desirable purchase.

[Haven't voted it cold, btw, since if you really *need* one of these then it might be decent price]

My 9 year-old niece just thinks it's a "cute bunny", though it saddens me to see her friends wearing the clothes, accessories. I don't think the younger girls realise what Playboy actually represents.

She's leaning towards Hello Kitty more these days, which I'm happier about.

Good god.. I am not here as a concience. I see what you are saying but...... its a photo album for goodness sake. I may be fairly new here, but I thought the object of this site was about good deals.... not judging the morality or not of certain items?

I know plnety of kids who have used/owned plyaboy tagged stuff and havent gone on to be porn stars, drug addicts, or otherwise wayward. ho hum ho hum......:whistling:

Quite correct, sir. And that's why I didn't vote on it. It's a cheap price for sure, but I think your "might be suitable to teenage girl" suggestion was what prompted myself and others to pass comment on its suitability in this regard.

And I'm sure that there are many children who have been given this classy item by their unthinking parent and owned it quite happily, but you have to ask yourself that wouldn't an unbranded item be both cheaper and more tasteful? It all depends on what you think matters for your kids.

And OP, sorry for seeming like it was an attack. I appreciate the effort that goes into making any post and I would never vote cold on something that doesn't align with my moral compass, unless I could find it cheaper elsewhere!

Hmmm, point taken... but I think a " do you want to reword your title" rather than a tirade of lectures wold have been more appropriate. Lesson learned... NEVER post anything without re-reading it again and again making sure I won't offend anyone.

Well I for one vote it hot. For gods sake it is a photo album with a pink bunny on it.
Some people on here really do take the moral high ground too far!
There's the old saying you "can't please everyone". Which just goes to show how true.

Playboy is a long way off pornography.

It's glamour, and it should be noted that the playboy magazine, which is what most associate with the brand logo, is in fact a mens magazine that is as a rule of thumb, 9/10 articles and 1/10 photos, the photos are usually topless, with the odd "lower" shot thrown in, but not the sort of "lower" shots that you would see in pronography magazines like club or razzle.

As an example, one of the most famous playboy models, pamels anderson (I'm not saying she is a role model), how many legitimate studio taken pictures of her are available that are pronography? Pretty much none. How many topless and nude or implied nude - plenty.

Is page three pornography? No, or children wouldnt be able to buy news papers. Is FHM pronography ? - No.

There is a line that is crossed in photographic terms when artistic nude turns to glamour nude and then another line that is crossed when glamour nude turns to porngraphy. I won't go into the detail here as it's certainly not appropriate, but certain poses have certain names and are indeed pornography no matter which way you view it.

The umbrella term of pornography when applied to all glamour or artistic photography really annoys togs!

Pity then that Hugh Hefner himself said he chose the rabbit for its "humorous sexual connotation," and because the image was "frisky and playful." wiki link

So a 'sexual connotation' logo thought to be 'frisky and playful' for children to wear .... Then they wonder where the phrase "I blame the parents" comes from...?

Children will only want this tat if their parents buy it for them.

Personally, my daughter won't be seen anywhere near this rubbish.
