It did, it's all random :D At £10 more it went very hot as well. lol
I'm not worried about temp though, hot/cold whatever.......as long as it benefits someone then that's all that matters. :)

Not 100% sure mate, but i think you need to wipe a drive before a new ps3 accepts it. As i say not 100% mind.

I don't see why your old hdd won't fit unless they've designed the 12gb model differently to the 500gb model
BUT, you need to buy the hard drive caddy separately as it doesn't seem to be included in the new Slim 12gb model and I believe they are still very difficult to get hold of.
Also, if/when you connect your old hard drive, it will be fully formatted by the PS3 itself and ALL data WILL be lost.This is unavoidable and there's no way around it.
I was looking into this just the other day for a friend who was about to buy one and found a few YouTube videos confirming it.

12gb is not nearly enough.
i have a 80gb and im having trouble managing my data.
