To update to the latest revision of the Official System Software (3.55) there are two files that may be used.
PS3UPDAT.PUP: 174,698KB = 170 MB, or
PS3PATCH.PUP: 63,005KB = 61.5 MB.
The "PATCH" file (Incremental Update Version) would only be used if starting from Official System Software 3.41 or above.
The 250GB[*] machine I received was at version 3.30 so I needed the full "Image Update" file instead.
It look me just under 8 minutes to download & a further 3 minutes to apply the update over a relatively slow "broadband" connection (due to the distance from my local telephone exchange).

I would prepare for the worst roadie. She told me that yesterday at 1pm and now I get this cancellation email. There is some serious miscommunication going on over there. Frankly I dont care about getting the modnation pack just a ps3 would do!

All to do with the Jailbreak. Now that 3.55 can go on PSN, there is more hackers. Be wary, as some can make you lose your rank. I thought the same, horrible isn't it. 1 in 10 tries will find a non hacked game.

Just spoke to Louise now and was told the same and i will be given £10 reward card vouchers which is not bad at all.

What is your issue then? Are you one of the affected customers from the end of December?
If so, did you call Customer Services two weeks ago & lodge your interest to wait for stock?
