Just doing some calculations, and someone tell me if i'm wrong.

Regular price: £284.99
Minus 5700 pre-order reward points (at 1000 points worth £2.50): £14.25
Minus 1.5% quidco: £3.64 (quidco is paid on ex VAT)

Sub-total price: £267.10

I'll probably get shot down in cold flames, but if so, then at least that saves me wasting my cash if this is really a bad deal.

Aren't flames usually hot? :)

with PSmove, excellent deal!

I almost went for the GT5 Special Edition deal, but two issues I had with it were:

1) It's not out until November; and

2) I feel that Special/Limited/Collectors' editions can sometimes be picked up for much cheaper if you wait, and you're lucky. Some franchises you have to be quick (eg. FFXIII PS3 Collectors' Edition), some franchises, you can take your time (Bioshock 2 Collectors' Edition). Given that the Collectors' Edition of GT on the PSP is still available on Play.com, i'm willing to bet that the Collectors' Edition of GT5 will be fairly available after a while, long after it's been discounted.

The Move peripheral however, I think will stay up in price, much like Wii Play hasn't moved much in price in nearly five years.

Nice bundle. Good to see that there are bundles to appeal to different types of gamers.
I'm surprised this bundle doesn't come with a game, notably Sports Champions, but the details at Game seem a little sparse.
#8
Does it not come with the 2nd nun chuck type controller as well?

I wouldn't risk it if you're a big fan of GT. After all the PSP version was pants from what I've heard and doesn't even include any sort of career mode. I wasn't even remotely tempted to get it - standard or collector's edition. So I'm sticking with the GT PS3 bundle for now....;)

I wouldn't be surpised if GT5 gets similar great deals nearer release dates as the FIFA games usually get. The price of the collectors edition seems quite steep to me and expect this to come down by at least a tenner before or around release.

It comes with one PS move controller, a demo disk and one PS Eye as I mentioned this bundle in the comments for ASDA deal posted here a few days ago. According to the maths this seems a good deal.

A downside to this deal when you think of the longer term seems to be if you want to get an extended warranty (that I hope to get when I buy a PS3 320GB- as it's quite an investment with all other costs of games and accessories to not get it fixed if it breaks after 1yr), GAME has a 2yr Warranty (including the standard 1yr warranty). But there are a few bad comments out there on the web about the company that GAME uses to provide extended warranty repairs, and even return the console with scratches etc. I would personally go with John Lewis or Argos (when available) and pay around £50 for their 3yr extended warranty. This move bundle is apparently a standard bundle offered with the 320GB version, and not unique to GAME. GAME seems to be ahead of the 'game' in taking preorders though.

When is this released?

Mid September for the 320GB version

Im fairly sure this does come with a sports game too after a quick google search.

Yes, this is a standard price for this bundle, but with Reward Card points and Quidco, it makes this deal stand out a bit more :)

Gamecare (2 Year Accidental & Breakdown Cover) on this is £39.99 - It cant be taken out online, so you would need to take the invoice you get with your console into store and get it that way :)
#15
I have £15 on my game card already, so if I spend them on this, they come right back, and pay for half of a move compatible game! Woo! Hot!
#16
My 60GB PS3 is starting to to groan and I was going to pick up the Move set, so unless there are any price cuts to come in 2010, this looks to be a great deal thanks to the x2 reward points. I'm in!

Deal needs editing to say 'includes free vibrating dildo'....

WHOA THERE HORSEY.... take it easy! No need for the ridicule, mate.....

I'm mean, in the example I gave eariler, FFXIII has also been in development forever and the PS3 LE version sold out. (The X360 version is still available quite readily though, and discounted from it's original RRP.) You can still find the PS3 version out there, but at the RRP it debuted at, not discounted.

ChrisIW has a vaild point which I understand, even if you clearly don't agree with him.

Anyway, as I was saying, no need for the ridicule mate. HUKD is supposed to be a nice environment for constructive conversation. :)

Dude, I know this part of reply isn't deal related, but my PS3 60GB broke 2 weeks ago. If you can, BACKUP your PS3 data now, to a USB HDD, else you'll have lost years of gaming!!!

As for the deal. great, I just paid £295 for the 250GB PS3, and two games (ModNation adn Toy Story 3) I traded TS3 back in though for £26 store credit

Any Qs on my PS3 issues and what you do/don't lose when it goes, PM me

My 60GB PS3 died two weeks ago too after 3 years of awesome gaming.
You really need to back up everything, sadly i didn't but will try to do a fix on it.
Should be picking up a new slim this week.

Might be worth removing your hard drive and putting it in a USB Dock like this - http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/13703971/CiT-DK02-2-5-inch-3-5-inch-SATA-Hard-Drive-USB-Dock-Black/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:13703971|cat:Hard+Drives

The PS3 may even recognise it as an external hard drive, if not, back up to PC/Laptop and load onto USB or External hard drive

I remember when my first 60gb died with the Red/Yellow light of death, I'd was 4 races away from 100% on Burnout and it died, I then realised I hadn't backed it up and when I got my replacement it had gone back to 96 races left.

I could of cried.

Some of the last few races are a bitch to win. Having to redo them would make me cry too.

Is the Move bundled in the PS3 box is is the console and Move boxed separately?

I suspect they'll be bundled
