Playstation 3 super slim 12gb with book of spells, wonderbook and move starter pack @ gamestation - £119.99

TechnTechn

Please note this is a preorder offer to be released next week.

A great value bundle for a new super slim, an interactive spell book thing and PS move starter pack including wand and camera.

To quote.....

Book of Spells is the first title for Wonderbook, the latest addition to the PlayStation experience.

PlayStation 3 12GB Slim with Book of Spells, Wonderbook and Move Starter Pack includes everything that PlayStation 3 newcomers need to explore the pages of the Book of Spells straight away:

PlayStation 12GB Slim Console with Dualshock Controller
Book of Spells game
Wonderbook Accessory
PlayStation Move Controller
PlayStation Eye Camera

PlayStation 3 12GB Slim Console

The redesigned new smaller, lighter PlayStation 3 packs all the gaming fun you’d expect from PlayStation but in a brand new case!

By redesigning the internal design architecture and removing the disc-fed tray for a sliding top-loading disk cover, the PS3 Super Slim is reduced in size by up to 25% compared to the current Slim PS3.

The PS3 Slim 12GB is more than a games console; it’s a home entertainment system that allows you to play Blu-Ray Discs, DVD’s, Music CD’s and watch TV through the BBC iPlayer, ITVPlayer and 4OD*.

The sleek new look will go with any household set up and thanks to the PS3 Slim 500GB stand (sold separately) you can lay the console down or have it stood up, depending on the space you have!

Also included in the box:
PS3 Slim 12GB Console
Wireless Dualshock 3 Controller
AC power cord
AV cable
USB cable

I know people will moan its only 12gb but its good for people like me who have an old fat ps3 that has failed. you can put your old hard drive in, once you find a caddy

The same preorder is £200 on game which seems odd

What I don't understand is why cancel in waves?

Fair enough office may have closed during the weekend and the my not have been able to cancel all the orders but it's Monday morning now, we've had the second wave of cancellations why stop? Make's absolutely no sense?

    Why stop!!!
Since I got in this morning, the phone hasn't stopped ringing, trying to take online orders, arrange couriers, parcel up orders, and send out 5000+ cancellations. Haven't had a tea, coffee break or lunch.
I'm on my own and I've had enough, going home now, not coming in tomorrow X)

lol can see where you're coming from to a certain extent but come on.. If Game station are are cancelling all these orders one at a time after god knows how many years in existence I would be seriously hopeful about my order slipping through the proverbial net. ;P

Then again maybe the poor GS elves are severely over worked and underpaid in the season that's in it but I some how doubt that's the reason ;)

Just received a reply from my email yesterday to cs ---

User Query: Hi, unhappy about having my order cancelled. There was no problem with the paypal payment which was backed up by a c/c.
I thought you honoured the price of pre-orders. I received an email from you about 10am cancelling the order about 9pm the same day you sent me another saying the order is accepted, but showing cancelled in my account.
    Poor customer service from you!

    Thank you for your email.
I apologise for the delayed response. We are currently receiving a large number of customer queries.
Unfortunately your order has been cancelled as the payment failed.
As this payment was attempted via PayPal we are unable to see the reason why this was not successful and would suggest you contact PayPal directly about this issue.
If you have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact us again.

Unless they have very outdated systems it should have taken minutes to cancel all the orders, it's not as though someone has to go through a list doing one at a time. When the cancelations went out at the weekend they all happened at once.

It's very likely that someone has to go through a list, doing one at a time. Each order comes with a refund that must be processed, so it's probably not as quick a procedure as people presume.

(inb4 'no they just press the big red cancel and refund button and they all happen at the same time', or something similar :D )

What refund? No payment has been taken until dispatch.

This is what i have been trying to say, i've still not got a cancellation, not bothered about getting one just would like to know where i stand if i'm honest so if they do cancel it i can go and buy one elsewhere x

Ditto. I think if they're not going to cancel the order when they've had plenty of time to do so we both have every right to not only be optimistic of reviving an order but more so be disappointed in the company if they take much longer to cancel, if that is indeed their ultimate intention.

It's not a lot to ask or expect..

Exactly!! So why cancel in waves? I doubt the is the first time Game station have had to cancel an order on mass before. Like nkje02 it's not about whether or not we get the ps3 or not it the bizzare way they've reacted to it..

One possibility of course is that they are going to fulfill the orders not yet cancelled (now wait for the no chance responses :D)

Erm...well... Because of the Gamestation.co.uk Pre-Order Price Promise your Pre-Order will not change and you will still pay the original, lower price. ...meaning, the pre-ordered item(s) will be processed at the lower price, no if's or but's about it. I have not misunderstood the email. In fact, the email should not have been sent, poor CS, whichever way you look at it. I'm not arguing at all! Why are you not "arguing" any more with me? Love how people assume they're above everyone else and can stop a debate at the tap of their keyboards.

Oh you people on these mis-price threads, you just reel me back in every time X)

Again, you fail to understand. You are literally inventing definitions of things: "...meaning, the pre-ordered item(s) will be processed at the lower price, no if's or but's about it." You are taking it to mean that because it suits you. Most people understand that the price promise policy applies to orders that are not a mis-price. You fail to understand this. Let's get one thing clear, you knew this was a mis-price and anyone who wants to claim otherwise is either a) stupid or b) a liar, to my mind.

Oh and I don't assume I'm above you. However, you are retorting with a misguided understanding of the facts, which is kinda difficult to have a rational discussion about.

Hahaha, you're hilarious incompetent! Gamestation sending me an email stating the following: ]Because of the Gamestation.co.uk Pre-Order Price Promise your Pre-Order will not change and you will still pay the original, lower price, would make anyone question whether their order is to be cancelled or not. I'm saying, if their price promise is incorrect, they should make amends, similar to your attitude :) You began to "argue" with me, stop having a hissing fit and try to end this debate ...and I quote "because it suits you". Did you even order this deal?

Okay, I understand and apologise, in that case. But from my point of view, as many other hopeful's, receiving said email, would only fortify my believe in receiving this deal. I'm more frustrated at the customer service you, at Gamestation, deploy :p I'm joking.
    wildeep333
how many others have not had their order cancelled yet? I ordered at 10am yesterday and still haven't had any cancellation.

is there any precedent where a mis-price was honoured for some and not for others?

Just had the following via webchat
    Sophie says:
My apologies, I have been informed that all customers who ordered at the lower price will not be honored with the lower price
    Sophie says:
We were only informed of the pricing error ourselves this afternoon. Before that we were unaware. The item is still available to preorder on our website at the correct price so you are able to do that
    Sophie says:
As I say, the lower price was a mistake and I have been informed that no one will have been honored with this

I ordered Friday, paid by Paypal as a guest, had my order cancelled on Saturday. I spoke to Paypal who advised that they had no record of any attempted transaction. The problem was with Gamestation.

Offered alternative payment be accepted against original order as there was no problem with Paypal or my credit card. Sophie then advised it was a pricing error therefore they couldn't offer it at that price and that they would not be honouring any order placed at £119.99.

The least they could do is send a mass email to account members and guest email addresses they have saying people who ordered at the lower price will be cancelled. I bet theres some people who dont follow this site and ordered friday and thought nothing of it, expecting it to ship soon.

Its not the 1980's, they can filter and cancel multiple order at one time, regardless of any payment that's has or hasn't been taken....do you honestly think each order has to be done separately ?

A bit annoying that others are contacting Gamestation about others who have not been cancelled
