Compatible with PS2 in what way? =/
#2
To me this still remains a rip off for getting a smaller hard drive, and no games and no dual shock controller.

I'm pretty sure 40gig doesn't play ps2 games.
#3
Sorry for dissapointing you, but this one is not compatible with PS2 games...
#4
only the 60gb was....

not a great deal in my opinion especialy when you can pick up bundles with games for about 280 ish with the newer 80 gig console
#6
Well, anyway you can get it for the same price from the official Sony Store... Actually it is £ 0.99 cheaper :-D So you don't have to worry about availability in Argos ;-)

I would of thought when blu-ray comes down a bit more players that is. Just a guess.

I'm so sick of the choice that lies before me in terms of games consoles and Blu-Ray players.

I understand there has to be competition in the market place, but I feel its just getting a bit silly now, in terms of the offer on the table, ie. good games console but no Blu-Ray OR Blu-Ray-enabled-but-bad games console. The next gen video format war is over, and it still seems like the consumer is losing out.

Can Microsoft and Sony please do the world a favour and bring a Blu-Ray player out for the X360, or bring the PS3 down to a reasonable price along with Blu-Ray players? Or better still bring out some decent PS3 games and finally fix the frankly rubbish joysticks on the Dual Shock. The PS3 has been overpriced for far too long now.

Works with the xbox360. Blu-ray drive.

I saw that the other day actually. Had no idea it would work with the X360 though! Cheers!

Yeh I read a little in that forum after the arguements one user remarks it would work with it and for the just under £75 quid not bad. Also can be used on your mac and pc so bargain.

Bit steep as it only comes with a 40gb drive. The xbox360 comes with 50% more memory (60gb) yet is £100 cheaper. Go figure?

Voting nuetral

Pretty sure you are trolling, however the PS3 does have games, the no games theory went out the window a long time ago. Look at the top games of 2008 and you'll see more PS3 exclusives than you will 360 exclusives, sure the 360 has a bigger back catalogue but it would due to its age.
As for the analogue sticks or "joysticks" comment, i have no idea what you are talking about.

Analysts say that every 6 months, Sony themselves have said they wont reach a break even point till the summer and then will look at price cuts. Even more worrying is Sony are likely to post a $1.1 billion loss in the next few days which would make a price cut on something they are already making a loss on even less likely

Sony had a disasterous christmas with the PS3 too. Where XBoxes flew off the shelves, sales of the PS3 were 19% down on last christmas. And last christmas wasn't great either.

They're in danger with the PS3 now Sony. Which is a shame, I think its a much better machine than the 360.
