Just go to your menu on the TV, choose 3D and then either left and right or the horizontal planes and the images will merge only being viewable with either a left or a right lens
No, It is basically just a 3d tv that is PlayStation branded with the bonus that players do not have to play split screen but can see their gameplay on the full screen. It has two hdmi ports, one to connect a ps3 and one for another hd device.

Typical company response to 24 "" too small say users. OK then we'll remedy that with 84"" sfc ott and opposite end of scale and outside users remit / price range and space requirement.
Except for the playstations this is a general Sony issue imo. Sony incredibly over rated imo would rather spend the little extra (and sometimes less) and go for brands like Panasonic, Pioneer, Phillips and LG.
